This is crazy….
I filed my claim in July 2023 and received my interview on September, 2024. It's been six months, and I still haven't heard back or received any updates. So I contacted a live agent, and they told me I could file a claim after January 20, 2026. Crazy! I already received my interview. I don't know why it's taking so long to get back to me.

Accidentally missed the I-485 interview
I accidentally missed my I-485 interview appointment as I did not receive notice in post, my attorney had received it instead and I missed the communication. But USCIS has automatically sent me a revised interview schedule for march 25th-
I have few questions about interview
-Does USCIS ask explanation on missed interviews? or any proof of reasoning?
-what are the interview questions based on- only i485 information or also the vawa self petition and abuse
-I had sent medical reports along with vawa application, and didn’t receive any RFE requesting a new medical report. Do I still need to take a new medical report with me.
- is taking my attorney along for interview beneficial?

hey guys, question to you all. when did you get the approval status change and did you notice the the time to decision go down in time? I noticed that yesterday time to decision read 10months and today dropped to 7 months.

Traveling while VAWA is pending
Hi VAWA community. I’m planning to submit I-131 while my VAWA is pending. My journey has been complicated to say the least, I’ve had my conditional GC last 2014 but I left the US in 2015 and returned 2017 under SB1 returning resident visa. Obviously my GC expired outside the US and they took me back when we filed for my 10yr GC our interviewer denied us. I took the long path of having to refile our I-130 and I-485 under EOIR. Everything was cleared from court, etc. Second I-130 was approved but 10th yr to my marriage we filed divorce while my I-485 is pending thus me filing under VAWA. I filed February 2024 last year shortly after our divorce was finalized. I haven’t tried applying for AP under VAWA. USCIS has been quick to renew my EAD from the start. My lawyer was hesitant to file AP given I went to a removal proceeding which was eventually cleared out last October 2020. If anyone has some experience traveling with a pending VAWA case I would greatly appreciate some insights regarding it. Thanks!
