there no set time on administrative processing can take anywhere from a few days to a few months . if they didn’t ask you to submit any additional documents you’ll just have to wait it out unfortunately.

it was detailed question like how they met. when they got separated. how they got their green card. how long they stayed together.

@Nana A i have not heard anything yet!!! its been over 4 weeks now. everytime i email them i just get a generic reply. also i think it depends on the embassy load. what embassy is urs? also did they ask for any additional documents?

@mason no they didn’t ask for any additional documents, they didn’t give us the 221g. she just told us they need to remove a hit on my name and it’s been 6 weeks. My embassy is Côte d’Ivoire. your embassy? Please let me know if you hear from them.

@mason i am also in the same situation since a month as i have also got 221g and kept in administrative processing and have not requested any of the documents so far. i went for the visa interview on sept 13th at chennai consulate.

I've been waiting for almost 6 months now , we sent emails, inquiries and we even went to the embassy and my fiancé had a fight with the security and they didn't let him in or even talk to anyone, we called the senator and they didn't do anything

@vishal m i had interview on sept 12th from Kathmandu Embassy. its been over a month now hopefully it gets completed soon

Mine was from August to November. 50 days without weekends and US or embassy country holidays.

original birth certificate….I accidentally brought photo copy of birth certificate. they told me I need to submit the original translated not the translated photocopy

in Tanzania we had 2 missing documents. took the two missing documents in last week, they took my spouse passport and gave him a slip. we haven’t heard anything since then. not sure if this means he is getting the visa since they took his passport or what.
