no updates. just received the transfer notices in the mail, but nothing else

Ana G CMay 10, 2022
Same here
j
jj bbMay 10, 2022
Same here. I think it's too soon. I heard that folks who had this exact transfer before us got approved or RFEs in about 4-6 weeks. let's hope for the same
A
Ana G CMay 10, 2022
Well, according with the current Nebraska processing time (15 months) I should receive mine soon, and I should be able to clain out of time in August. My PD is Feb 2021. In theory the should process your case based on your PD.
B
BB 90May 10, 2022
my PD is May 3, 2021. tranfer was done 13 days ago. hopefully we will start hearing good news soon🤞
J
J PMay 10, 2022
not yet. but I notice they changed my pd date, from the date they received initially my application to when I received the first I-797A, it’s like a 3 weeks difference 😕
Y
Y HMay 10, 2022
did anybody have their priority date go missing on the i140 transfer notice? i got my transfer notices for both i140 and i485 and noted that only the i485 has the date filled in the priority date box (same as original receipt of March/2021). my original receipt has a PD but it’s become blank on the i140 transfer notice. has anybody else had the same issue?!?? is my priority date for i140 now the new notice date?!?!
B
BB 90May 10, 2022
mine is same with yours @ YH i have been on the optimistic side that it would be still the previous PD
A
Ana G CMay 10, 2022
Same for me PD is blank for I140 transference notice. However in the first notice there is not PD date, just received date and notice date.
A
Ana G CMay 10, 2022
I have always assumed that PD was received date.
Y
Y HMay 10, 2022
@ Ana G C there should be a received, notice and priority date on the original receipt. i think that’s the standard format of the receipts. on the transfer notice, it’s the same three boxes except that now only the received and notice date are filled with PD empty.
Y
Y HMay 10, 2022
@ BB 90 thanks for the information- maybe this is how transfer notices are supposed to be? this process is getting more and more confusing for me.
A
Ana G CMay 10, 2022
For Nebraska processing time for i140 and i485 are the same, 15 months. The only difference is the date to be able to claim. In my case is August for I140 and Dec for i485. Assuming processing time is not increasing I think we should be fine as long as the PD for i485 is still the original one.
A
Ana G CMay 20, 2022
i140 just got approved guys!
j
jj bbMay 20, 2022
Congrats Ana G C. This give us a lot of hope!

congrats Ana, great news for all of us. when was your case transferred?
A

I hope so. I will keep you posted

Ana GC, just curious...is your PD in June 2021?
A
Ana G CMay 20, 2022
Feb 2021
B
BB 90May 27, 2022
hello everybody! any updates? i feel like now that our cases were transferred texas started to work faster and nebraska stopped 🤷‍♀️
j
jj bbMay 27, 2022
None from me. But I'm hoping in a month or so.
J

Nothing yet

BB 90Jun 2, 2022
Hi everybody! i believe my case qualifies for the premium processing with the new regulation. i dont know if it is reasonable to apply it now since the possibility of approval without PP is also high, but i am also frustrated of waiting. my PD is May 3, 2021. what are your thoughts on this matter?
A
Ana G CJun 2, 2022
I don't think the new PP will be available until September, right? You cannot still use it, so right now you can only wait. But it seems they are moving thing faster now. I just got approved and my PD is Feb 21. You should be approved in 2-3 months.
A
Ana G CJun 2, 2022
Nope
B
BB 90Jun 2, 2022
Thank you for sharing your opinions. @ Kamelia the case inquiry date is October 31st for me. if i use PP probably it will make only 2 months difference unless they delay processing of regular cases more.
B
BB 90Jun 2, 2022
it is interesting to set a date like June 1, 2021 to qualify for PP since approval days of these cases should be very close. it makes me think and question.
J
J PJun 2, 2022
If you have the money apply for PP, time is more valuable than money
j
jj bbJun 2, 2022
$2500 to perhaps buy you about 50-90 days? I don't think it's worth it. Also, if you get approved, you still gotta wait for i485 which are backlogged in Nebraska. I think I'll ride it out. I already have my combo card, so I'm good.
A
Ana G CJun 3, 2022
Bad news guys. Nebraska increased time for i485 from 15 to 32 months.
j
jj bbJun 3, 2022
Even more reason not to pay the $2500 for premium processing? You'll get your i140 approved just to wait another year for your I485.
j
jj bbJun 3, 2022
Also, USCIS has been posting on Twitter that they have an unusual high number or EB green cards to issue this year before Sept 30th. Doesn't seem like they are keen not to waste those GCs
A
Ana G CJun 3, 2022
when was that Twitter?
j
jj bbJun 3, 2022
They've been posting since the beginning of the year, encouraging people with approved I140s to apply the I485 with medicals and those that already applied without medicals to send the medicals even with prompt. Check their Twitter timeline
A
Ana G CJun 3, 2022
Ok, I saw that. Let's see if they are able to give all the visa they have. Last year wasn't possible.
B
BB 90Jun 3, 2022
i dont think uscis cares about wasting GCs, unfortunately
A
Ana G CJun 3, 2022
Agreed
A
Ana G CJun 15, 2022
Hi guys, did you see that i485 processing time increased to 32.5 months?!!! It was 15 a few weeks ago.
B
BB 90Jun 15, 2022
unfortunately yesss🤷‍♀️ seems like long wait os still ahead of us
J
J PJun 15, 2022
i don’t think those new processing times say anything, they’re not divided by GC category. They’re just useful to see when you can ask them about your case. But besides that it also depends, an F4 is not going to process as fast as a EB1 for example.
A
Ana G CJun 15, 2022
But I thought i485 are not processed based on i140 category. I thought it was based on employment based, family based...
B
BB 90Jun 15, 2022
mine as well @ Kamelia. they dont want to be transperant @ Ana GC. beforw it was reported as you mentioned.
A
Ana G CJun 30, 2022
Any update here?
B
BB 90Jun 30, 2022
no update from me
B
BB 90Jul 1, 2022
hi guys! my i-765 and i-131 were not transferred and they were approved by Texas today. i dont know if any of you have been in the same boat, but wanted to share it here too. no news from i-140 yet.
j
jj bbJul 1, 2022
@BB 90. Nice. Got mine end of May from NBC.
J
J PJul 1, 2022
@BB Congrats! I’m still waiting for EAD and AP, I just sent an out of processing time request on Monday. We’ll see what happens
j
jj bbJul 1, 2022
Are any of you who filed NIWs before June 1st 2021 thinking of filing for premium processing now that it's open?
B
BB 90Jul 1, 2022
actually, i was thinking about it. but now, i extended my H1B for another 3 years and got I-131 and i-765 approved, i dont know if it makes sense. also, inquiry date for my i-140 is in October. so, i think i will wait a little bit more for premium
j
jj bbJul 1, 2022
I filed mine June 21st. So I'm not eligible, it would have been a hard decision for sure.
B
BB 90Jul 1, 2022
i think they will expand eligibility in a couple of months. probably, they want to see how many applications they will get with the current deadline and if not so many they will just expand it.
Y
Y HJul 2, 2022
congrats BB 90! was yours a concurrent filing ?
B
BB 90Jul 2, 2022
yes, mine is concurrent filing
j
jj bbJul 6, 2022
@Kamelia zero, that's true. Also I think those application that were transferred from Texas to Nebraska at the end of April were mostly if not all concurrent applications.
B
BB 90Jul 6, 2022
yours are also concurrent @Kamelia and @jj bb
j
jj bbJul 6, 2022
Yes. mine is
B
BB 90Jul 6, 2022
Do you guys think the announced processing times will not apply to our cases?
B
BB 90Jul 6, 2022
i really cannot understand how they work and how come they come up with different plans almost every few months and nothings changes
j
jj bbJul 6, 2022
I honestly think we are screwed. They will keep processing new application to makes averages down and we will likely get processed either if we pay for premium processing or when we enough time passes to where we can raise inquiries.
B
BB 90Jul 6, 2022
my inquiry date is in October for i-140. but i am very confused about what is best to do. even if we get our I-140s approved, i am very hopeless about i-485s.
j
jj bbJul 6, 2022
At least you don't have to worry about I140 RFEs. I-485 are getting approved without interviews now. So it's just a matter of waiting. I will likely pay for PP when it gets to me. I've seen I140s that went two years before approval, so it's worth it.
j
jj bbJul 6, 2022
So if we filed to Texas and then transfered to Nebraska which processing times do we use for case inquiry? Texas says 20months while Nebraska is 14.5. My application is now in Nebraska and if I go with that then I can file for an inquiry in September
B
BB 90Jul 6, 2022
i think we should watch Nebraska now
A
Ana G CJul 6, 2022
Mine was approved after being transferred from Texas to Nebraska. I believe bcs my PD is Feb 2021 so I think they are really following processing time. I would say to expect to get approved around 15 month after PD.
j
jj bbJul 7, 2022
do any of you follow the progress of USCIS approvals on that site hilites.today? It's actually indicating that the progress isn't too bad. About 1000 i140s were approved yesterday for example. Hopefully it will get to us soon.
B
BB 90Jul 8, 2022
@jj bb. do you think we should check src_lb progress on hilites. i see many i-140 approvals, but i dont see any change in transferred case number.
j
jj bbJul 8, 2022
think so, src_lb is the one we should track. the transferred cases are moving so slowly. I'm my range, only 1 of 66 has been approved in the last like 10 days. The received on the other hand is moving faster, on average 3 per day
B
BB 90Jul 8, 2022
in my range, it has been 60 cases transferred for a loooonnnggg time😊 and no change so far
j
jj bbJul 14, 2022
Wow. They finally got you. I think the RFE thing is just standard. They probably want more evidence for one prong or two. All the best! If you don't mind me asking, when was your PD?
j
jj bbJul 14, 2022
You are three months ahead of me. All the best, I'm sure everything will work out.
B
BB 90Jul 14, 2022
i think this is good news @Kamelia. have you changed job while waiting for i-140? if yes, maybe RFE is related to it.
j
jj bbJul 14, 2022
Can they tell if you change jobs before i-140 approval for NIW cases? It shouldn't matter for NIW because you are not attached to an employer. I'm planning to start a new job soon, hopefully that doesn't trigger an rfe
B
BB 90Jul 14, 2022
Guys! Did you notice USCIS updated processing times? now, avaerage time for i-140 is 15 months and for i-485 is 18 months
A
Ana G CJul 14, 2022
Really? I checked this morning it was 32 months
A
Ana G CJul 14, 2022
Well, my PD is Feb 2021 and my date to inquire is June 30 2022. So crazy!
B
BB 90Jul 14, 2022
inquiry dates are still off, but at least so hope with the decreased processing times unless they change it again
A
Ana G CJul 14, 2022
I read in USCIS web that the processing times for i485 are not accurate bcs of the high number of cases being transferred out so the calculations are based on remaining outliers cases which is not representative.
j
jj bbAug 2, 2022
Sent my application for premium processing today. Will update you guys.
B
BB 90Aug 23, 2022
Hello everybody! I have good news to share. My case has been approved today.
A

great news! Congrats! How long after case transferred to NBC?
j

Congratulations 🎉. Mine was approved two weeks ago but only after applying for premium processing.

@ Ana, 4 months after the transfer. Congrats to both of us @jj bb

j
jj bbSep 1, 2022
I-485 was transfered today, don't know where yet. But probably NBC or field office
B
BB 90Sep 7, 2022
Hello everybody! my i-485 has been transferred to another center yesterday. i dont know where yet. any updates on yours?
j
jj bbSep 7, 2022
mine went from Nebraska to NBC on 8/31
j
jj bbSep 26, 2022
Any updates of I-485? I got an update this morning of an RFE, I don't know what's it's about though since my medicals we're submitted with the application under a year ago.
A
Ana G CSep 26, 2022
My i485 transferred from Nebraska to NBC on Aug 12, no news since then. I was hoping it will be approved whithin this fiscal year but no hopes now 😔.
A
Ana G CSep 26, 2022
Hi guys, Emma says that my i485 is at Kendall FO (Miami). They say it is under review. Does someone know if it good signal?
Y
Y HSep 26, 2022
@ Ana G C, are you in the Florida area? if not, I’ve read that means your interview would be waived and your case may be considered a less complicated one if your case got transferred to an FO far from your current address. did you submit your medicals with the 485?
A
Ana G CSep 26, 2022
My FO should be Houston and yes, I have submitted medical at the beginning (Feb 2021). I believe the medical are valid for 2 years now, right? Not sure if that exemption is just valid until September 2022.
Y
Y HSep 26, 2022
@ Ana G C, I am not sure if the exemption will be extended- nothing is updated on the uscis website. i guess come oct1, there will be some revisions?
B
BB 90Sep 27, 2022
Hi guys! My cas was transferred to NBC recently and it still shows at NBC. however, last week I got an RFE from Brooklyn FO which is not my FO. RFE was sent for sth that I had already submitted with my initial application.
Y
Y HSep 27, 2022
@ BB 90, what is the RFE for? mine is still at nbc- not sure when I will get an update on that….
B
BB 90Sep 27, 2022
it was for J1 waiver document
j
jj bbSep 27, 2022
@BB 90. I hope mine is for the same, that will be an easy one 😃
