Called USCIS on Friday
On Friday my husband and I called USCIS about the status of our case and we were able to get through to talk to someone. We submitted our I-485 and I-765 on November 1, 2024. Our biometrics appointment for both was on December 6, and the work permit was approved on the same day. On the same day our I-485 went into “Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS” status. I asked if that was normal or if they needed anything from us and she said it was normal and not to worry. Our case is still at NBC and it will be forwarded to the field office once it’s ready for an interview and decision. Has this happened to anyone else? What was your timeline?

well they acknowledged receiving my rfe response over 6 months ago and my 130 was approved over 50 days ago now so I just escalated it and the lady over live chat said that it’s now at my local field office instead of NBC but I wasn’t informed of the transfer.

yes, I have been waiting since July 3,2024, they received my REF on 10/3/24 and haven’t heard since!

this is completely normal. in fact, it is happening to me with my N400. my case is in NBC, however, NBC has requested interview scheduling to the field office, meaning is ready for interview. sometimes we must wait because it comes down to the work load of the office in charge of your jurisdiction and/or the officer reviewing the case. hang in there.

@Ale Ramos we are inside. He came over on his K1, we got married in mid September. Sent paperwork off at the end of October and November 1 is the date our case was received.
