Case transferred
hello
I am a USC living in Florida and my husband in living in Jordan
we have applied form I-130 on May-30-2021. got a notice that it is in Nebraska. Today I contacted USCIS and they told me that it has been transferred to Vermont. How will that effect our processing timeline? Does that mean it will take longer to process our case?

hello, you can follow the official processing time from uscis for each form and each service center at : https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
it is mainly statistical but will give you an idea of the range of time difference between one center to another.
be patient and good luck. 😊

I submitted my I-130 got two i797c letters one with California service centre address and the other with Potomac Service Centre address and when I checked it online it showed case is being processed at Nebraska service centre. now I had live chat and they say it is as California service centre. I don’t know what to believe

me too I have been told different things and I am not sure where is my case at the moment. Someone mentioned that it is better to ask them what center is it in after your case is being actively reviewed.

some people things it is a strategy from USCIS to move your case all the time and to put it again at the lowest part of the pile in a different service center and and and….
hard to believe they loose their time to do that instead of working on our files but why not until they can prove the opposite.
I hope the lawsuits in place all over the US, against DHS and the government not following immigration laws, will give us a part of truth and help citizens and legal immigrants to understand what is wrong with this system to improve it.
another big hope is the new Uscis management coming, driven by Ur Jaddou who will soon show what a real director of USCIS should do or not. Still long months before we will see the effect on a management politic change but what else can we do today but supporting it ?
