Civil documents translation
Hi! I have a question about the necessity of translating civil documents for the NVC case review phase. This is what I've found on the official NVC website regarding this matter: "Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations." I am Italian and my interview will be held in Naples, Italy. All my civil documents (birth certificate, police record etc.) are issued in Italian. Am I still required to translate all the documents from Italian into English for the NVC review phase or is it 100% okay to keep them in Italian, since the interview will be held in my country, supposedly by an officer that also speaks Italian? I have not uploaded the documents on my CEAC yet and I just wanted to be 100% sure that NVC will accept them in Italian and won't be needing the English translation also. Does somebody know if it is 100% safe to only submit them in Italian? Thanks 🙏🏻

you need to translate them in English or they won’t accept them.

always translate if it’s not in English

But if they only accept docs in English, what's the point in saying "OR in the official language of the country from which you are applying", then? 😭

Also, after you translate combine both original and translated into one pdf file.
