No, my PD is October. It’s Baltimore, MD. I’ve heard it’s very slow. I’m surprised to have an interview after one year despite having no dependents @D A 😒😅

@Yas I our Orlando FO is also very slow. what do you think could be the reason of interview ? maybe they just picked you up randomly..

I was born and studied in two different countries that are considered enemy for the government haha @D A I believe that is the reason.

@Yas I I’m from Russia , and didn’t get interview. also know guys from Russia who were in asylum and got GC through AOS, even were not asked to leave the country for interview

Oh, it’s the other two countries (I & C)! Tbh, I don’t know and that’s why it makes me nervous. @D A I’ll talk to my attorney next week to see if they have had any similar cases.

@K P Thank you! Yeah, better than waiting forever. I think for Baltimore is about 39 months. Haven’t checked it this week. I’m surprised since I have no dependents. Hope that everything goes well for all of us.

I have similar situation. I have no dependents either but I was called for interview at Baltimore FO. My PD is nov 2022. Its been more than 2 months but just waiting for their decision

@sum eb2niw Omg 😳 can you please tell me what happened during the interview and what were you asked? You should contact the senator or congressman.

Interview was smooth. They asked me all those questions from form 485. First they asked me my name, my parents name, how i entered the country , was i inspected which date i last entered the country, if i hv any criminal history. The guy basically opened my i 485 form and went from every page and was asking me questions till the end of the form. I guess it took around 45 min. The interview person was sweet. At the end of the interview he said your form looks good. I was thinking he will approve me right away. But it just broke my heart when he handed me a paper which said I hv to wait 120 days before asking them abt my case. I asked him what will happen next. He said his supervisor will review my case and will most likely give the decision in few weeks.

Tbh I was heartbroken to have an interview after a long time of being CRP and seeing others getting approved without one. I feel you and I think they are just busy. I also think the interview was an unnecessary thing for us. Hopefully you get the approval news soon. You deserve it after waiting for such a long time 😞🙏🏻

There were so many people at the field office who were called for interview. The hall was full with people who came for interview. Most of them told me they were for marriage based green card interview

I think NBC officers just randomly picked us. But it’s really weird. Why do we have to go through this when everyone else is getting approved without one 😑 @sum eb2niw

@Yas I yes I agree. I think they just prolong the case for no reason. The tough part is waiting every single day. I pray you get approved on the spot. However I was reading on reddit that baltimore field office dont approve on the spot for majority caes but those cases were from 2021. I wish we can find out about others who went thru similar experience recently

@sum eb2niw I’ve read about them too! Everyone says Baltimore FO is very slow. I know people who got interviews from other city FOs, but seems like we are the only ones from Baltimore who have no dependents. Almost everybody else is married and that’s why they are invited for an interview. I need the GC so bad, but I also don’t want to spend a lot of money to sue the FO if they take a long time to review the case. Hopefully you receive the good news soon (at least before their 120-day deadline…).

@D A , did your friends with pending asylum do anything different on the AOS application? And is this a recent approval? Thanks

@Nate Man I’m not sure , as they did with attorney. I know that it must be affirmative asylum and person should enter the USA being in status. it was recent approval. I’m not an attorney, so information might be incomplete.

Thank you @D A . I assume it should be an affirmative case. There was a discussion here if a pending asylum case which was never out of status, can do AOS. Good to hear that this is a recent approval. Thanks again!!

The letter said bring a medical report if you haven’t submitted one within the last year! I’m confused as well. I submitted my medical with the initial package in March 2023. It should be valid for two years 😟I will ask my attorney tomorrow. When she replies (don’t know when), I’ll let you know. @Have Faith
