Denied attempt to submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online
I have an I-130 being processed at the Nebraska Center for my wife who is Brazilian and currently lives in Brazil. I’m an American Citizen. Receipt date for our I-130 is September 3rd 2021 and the USCIS website’s “Receipt date for a case inquiry” for our type of I-130 is September 8th 2021; as far I understood the rules, since my I-130’s receipt date is before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry”, then this qualifies us to submit an “ outside normal processing time” service request online. But when I try to submit it, I get the following response which makes no sense to me:
***********
Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the http://uscis.gov webpage.

Has anyone dealt with this? if yes, how did you solve it?
The latest actions posted in our USCIS account was the following amost 90 days ago and nothing else. Case is still at Nebraska Service Center based on what shows on our USCIS account.

The last action posted in my account at myUSCIS Portal says that they are actively reviewing our I-130 since January 13th 2022. no other news posted in there. And it still says it is at Nebraska Service Center

how did you get hold of an agent? please share. I wasn’t able to find any online agents; just that dumb Emma Virtual Assitent that is also useless for any questions I had for her

Hey…. so it turns out you simply CAN’T trust the information provided by myUSCIS… this is so unbelievable! C H is absolutely correct…. And Anthony A, thank you so much for your priceless tip. I did call USCIS and the agent told me my file was transferred to the Potomac Service Center which is still processing I-130 cases up to March 12, 2021 instead of September 8 2021 in Nebraska. So even though the damn myUSCIS piece of s*it website says my case is in Nebraska, they DID transfer my case to Potomac, putting me at least 6 months back in the process. 🤬🤬🤬
Lesson learned here: if you want to know about your case, MAKE A CALL TO USCIS! DO NOT TRUST WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE USCIS WEBSITE!
From now on I don’t trust anything I see in my account… I will call and wait for hours, I guess…

btw, the agent said my case is not even being actively reviewed as the website says it is. It was transferred to Potomac and now it’s queue to be reviewed. The USCIS data is all bogus for my application in myUSCIS online account. Shame on USCIS!!!. The agent apologized for my account in the website displaying incorrect information about my application but she told me to call if I want to be sure of the most up to date info. FYI
