first time hearing EAD under vawa c14 , I only know know c09 / c31 as mentioned above. if the deferred action itself make you eligible applying for EAD , then maybe that what happened. if that the case, your EAD application has nothing to do with your vawa application and you should have a receipt notice for it. still idk it’s my opinion 🤷🏽‍♂️

If you filed I485, just fill the I765 c9 category and send directly to USCIS without giving extra money to a lawyer who’s clueless. Drferred Action c14 and c31 cards are only given when your vawa is approved. You get Deferred action together with your approval. Don’t waste time going back and forth with the lawyer. Many people experienced this and lawyers are sometimes just useless.

c14 will not be approved until your Vawa is approved.

hello guys I have same Question my vawa approved last month and I received my approval notice today along with INITIAL GRANT OF DEFERRED ACTION Letter what is that means ? I already have RECEIVED MY EAD c31 last week also and my I 485 pending

I filled dec 2018 and just got now under c31 you should get c09 if you have your i485 pending

@S Singh, no it won’t affect anything. It simply means you can not be deported until you have adjusted your status. it protects you from deportation. Now just wait for your I485. which for me I have no updates at all. I ended up using congressman and I’m waiting for the response in 30 days or so.

@fluffy when was your vawa approved? and what is the Field office gonna be ?

@S Singh, I had it approved in January and then approval letter in March. Since then no updates, I don’t even know if they transferred it or anything.
