EAD Card with Prima Facie
Good morning everyone, quick question, I was told by an immigration consultant that one is able to file EAD if a person has a Prima Facie notice, how true is this? I’ve never heard this before. Once again I didn’t file EAD or AP because my spouse is a green card holder neither did I file I-485! Is it that I’ll just have to wait for VAWA to be approved before getting my EAD card or can I apply for it with a Prima Facie??

No, you can not. Only if you file 485, but you didn’t

if you did file concurrently you would have your combo card within 5-6 months.

@Ms shorty you can apply for EAD but only under C31 category which is after your vawa is approved, so what you believe is true. You seem to understand better than your lawyer

my husband was a greencard holder and I filed vawa concurrently and I got approved for EAD valid for 2 years when I first file now I have a 5 years ead card and my vawa was recently approved

@shari I initially wrote that she could file her EAD and parole but I had to delete my comment when @Lana P said no. So thank God someone here was also married to a Greencard holder and she has her EAD and parole. So please I will beg you to apply for both so you can start your life, while waiting for your approval.

IDK, because I did request for EAD on my VAWA form but now I’m realizing that I’ll only get that once it’s approved, but would it be advisable to do these forms online or would I have to do them on paper and submit? Also being that I’m filing them separately from my VAWA case do I have to play additional fees? @Shari @Lana P

I was married to a green card holder and I got my EAD and the travel for 2 year and I have travel 6 times in does 2 years I also work and go to college with that

my lawyer file both for me same time & after 4 months I get travel documents & work authorization
