EB1A (PP) RFE from Nebraska, asking to send response to Texas?
I-140 EB1A petition submitted a month ago (premium processing, case starts with IOE, living abroad, consular processing).
Originally sent to the National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit.
Within 5 business days, got a kitchen sink RFE from the Nebraska Service Center.
The RFE says that the response should be sent via mail to the Texas service center.
Could it be that the officer decided to send the RFE and then transfer the case to Texas? Or is it common as a way to just distribute the load of document scanning? I wouldn't mind getting a different officer reviewing my RFE response lol, this one is notorious

Hello, it was the same for me, received an RFE PP at Nebraska Service Center and I sent my RFE to Texas Service Center this week. I'm not sure either why they asked to sent it to TSC.

Hi, my case is handled by TSC, and below is the reason which I found out that why the RFE was asked to send to TSC.
A classic case of case load balancing which allows USCIS lockboxes to assign service centers based on case load over their traditional applicant work-location based assignments.
But this switch may have happened very early on, the officer who initially adjudicated your case and issued the RFE will always be the person who receives the response. The lockbox must have moved your case at the get-go and not after they issued an RFE.

@sandeep k I didn’t get any notification/status change about the case being transferred. And I know for sure that the officer who issued the RFE is from NSC.
Is there still a chance that my case will be reviewed by the TSC?

Sandeep, I am in similar situation. I got NOID from NSC but response was sent to TSC.
Wondering, will case now be handled by TSC and if the officer be same or different this time ?
