Following. I just got an RFE today as well.

I filed in Oct 2020 and received my RFE in March. They said I do not satisfy prongs 2 and 3 of NIW. My lawyer drafted a pretty strong response letter. I also submitted 2 additional letters of recommendation and updated citation record.

@TK Thank you for sharing. How long did it take after you submitted the response?

I have not yet heard back on the RFE response.

I got RFE too last week. I guess they trying to buy time by this way.

if you filed through lawyer firm check with them. I didnt know rfe for my case until my lawyer informed. 2 weeks passed and havent heard from texas office. 😔

@AG, not yet. but I spoke with a USCIS agent this morning after which I got an email from USCIS saying that even though I got notification of the RFE on May 7, the actual document was only mailed out on May 10. they asked that I wait 7 business days to receive the RFE in the mail and if I do not receive it within 7 business days, then I should call them and they will email the document to me.

So Wednesday/Thursday would make it 7 business days. I will update this post if I receive the document by then.

mine took exactly two weeks to receive

FYI - I called uscis and requested the rfe by email, just received it.

Oh wow. Thanks for the update. Did you simply ask to have the rfe emailed to you? or what process did you go through? I called them to request they send an email but the guy put in a service request and hung up on me.

Looks by luck. I had an agent yesterday who put service request and nothing happened. Tried again today, asked about rfe and offered to be emailed

Yes, very true. I just called them a second time and spoke to a kind agent. He said he’d have the rfe emailed to me within 24 hours.

They asked for all 3 prongs. Not sure if its general for most applicants. I hope we can go through it

seems mainly typical rfe for most of us for all 3 prongs

Just received the rfe last week. Its 7-8 pages to argue for all 3 prongs

Finally I received a copy of my rfe via email after almost 4 weeks. Rfe doesn't make any sense given my background and credentials. Not sure if it is a common rfe they issue to everyone. All challenges were very vague and no single sentence specific to my case. All statements are very general.

yeah seem they are issuing a typical rfe for everyone. Its like we need to re-submit the whole niw package again since it’s general rfe with no specific request

That's my understanding too. In that case I am considering withdrawing the petition. This is ridiculous!

@TK Did you have any update on the RFE response?

hope they will approve the I-140 immediately once they receive the responses specially if this is a general rfe with no specific request.. and not just buying out time again..
