As far as I know, you can accept an offer, but not start working and sign a contract until you have your EAD. you could negotiate your starting date based on when you estimate your EAD to come in.

they didn’t even told me to wait 21 days , they just said I will know when it’s approved or not

@shayan feroz, same here, but they said it's going to take minimum 21 days to receive a decision, I don't understand how this is an expedite request if I have to wait 3 weeks for an aswer🤦‍♀️

@Luis A I have ead that will expire soon, but contract is for 1 year so I can't accept it and company wants to hire immediately, not sure they'll give me another start date. I tried to explain it to USCIS but do they even care🤷‍♀️

I have seen people getting approved the next day, in my case it’s not even showing up on the case tracker

I was approved in 7 days, expedited through congressman

yes it was changed to “ approved “

RL expedite with Emma. explain the situation that you will loose your job by xyz. that s what I did. email requesting for pending job offer the next day. then approved the following day.

@bring me some luck N, I filled expedite through Emma first, but agent submitted my request before I typed in all my reasons(basically only that I have a pending job offer), I asked to add financial hardship that will come if I won't be able to accept this job offer and my bills,but agent said they can't add anything and now I have to wait for a decision. So I contacted my congressman hoping they could explain my situation to uscis, I haven't received any news from emma expedite or congressman, and company doesn't want to wait😪

@YE, thank you for sharing your experience. This company doesn't want to postpone starting date as they need someone now, I just wish uscis would understand our situation.

I’m in the same boat and risk losing a dream job opportunity. Urg!

FYI my expedite request is for the NVC stage… already approved at USCIS stage back in Oct after a 2 year wait!
