F1 to EB1A
it was a easy but expensive journey for me. My background— I have a MS (2017) and PHD (2022) from the US. I first applied for NIW but being a Indian passport holder I had to look for alternative options (waiting time seems to be more than my life expectancy 😂). By the time I became a faculty member (2022-2023) I was eligible for EB1A. I had more than 2k citations, 20 h-index, 40+ journals, several organic press releases, etc. So I went for it. Applied I-140 again with premium processing fee. (2023 end) Waiting few months for the date to become current based on older NIW application. Apploed for I-485 sometime in September 2024 and got it approved Dec 2nd. I used lawyers for everything. I think if you have a strong academic profile , it’s very easy to get GC.
