finally approved
my case was approved yesterday. I was under investigation for a year because my ex file a domestic violence case against me. I was not aware until I was notified by the USCIS on the month of July. I sent all the documents proving my innocence and finally my petition was approved. PD March 9 2022 I-130 Vermont center

Hi , your ex filed a domestic violence case against you with uscis ?
Hanna PimentelSep 12, 2024
@mary green I have to wait for another email with instructions on what to do next
Hanna PimentelSep 12, 2024
@will maz not with USCIS but when we were getting separated he acuse me of treating him intimidation and stalking also terroristic threat that was back in 2017 the case was still open showing that I have a warrant for an arrest. all that delay my case I went to court I have to prove that everything was not true and sent all the documents to the uscis. my advice to anyone is to get a background report to ensure that nothing is on the way to prevent your case to move forward

@Mary gij quick update I received my welcome letter yesterday my approval was September 10 and welcome letter received on September 17th. I went to the website listed on the letter paid the fees for the affidavit of support that was $120 and I also paid the 325 dollars consular fees. I have to wait 2-3 days for the payment to clear and continue to follow the process is six step that I have to complete. I will keep all of you posted on any updates. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

@Hanna Pimentel so happy for u seriously….did you get letter stating the next steps prior to getting the letter or during? if yes, did it say congratulations on your approval…I asked bcus my atty said my husband got approved and sent me a copy of the next steps

@Mary gij I am getting everything electronically I don’t know if that made it quicker, but once you get approved the next step is to pay the fees in order to be able to download the affidavit of support and to complete the DS-260 if the payment is not completed first you won’t be able to do any other step in the system. When where you are approved?

@Hanna Pimentel here’s the thing they emailed us for a 2nd interview on 6/2024 we were patiently waiting for a response September rolls around absolutely nothing so I contacted my lawyer office who told us my husband was approved but doesn’t have an approval letter on file so I’m like wtf…she sent me the next steps as proof of my husband being approved lol so I got pissed bcus that doesn’t prove a thing in my eyes so she sent me an email saying she emailed the embassy to find out where he could his passport up at…every since then cold but I’ve been emailing the whole world and calling bcus this doesn’t seem right at all
