EB3-2 Frustrating being stuck at LIN Nebraska
It seems that the Trump administration tactic to discourage certain EB classes and to make applicants "self deport" because it gets too long or their employers fire them after years waiting is still followed?
EB3-2 Skilled worker. No academic degree. I have two colleagues having EB3-1 professional (with bachelor's degree) who got their GC from Nebraska service center months ago. They filed I-140 concurrently like in my case but everything was way faster.
Even counting starting at I-140 approval it's already over 300 days. it's frustrating.
No transfer to NBC. No RFE for medical. nothing.
The only answer is that everything was in normal processing time.
Any joke or nice comment available making me a bit smile?

I feel the pain and totally agree. It must be very hard to be waiting like this. My case is also stuck at NSC, although the waite is too short compared to yours, I am anxious.

we have same timeline. no transfer, no rfe. last update was over 500 days ago. case stuck at Texas. they transfer cases from 2021 and 22 and forget completely about 2020 and earlier cases. USCIS destroyed my mental health. I completely understand how you feel 😔

I came here on an L-1 which I cannot extend anymore. I'm out of status now. Sure, I'm in authorized stay due to the pending I-485 and I can work in the job the I-140 petition was approved for, but psychologically it is horrible. It means one denial can lead to deportation proceedings.
On the other hand, my first return via the EAD/AP combo card worked well with only 10 minutes in secondary inspection at Newark airport.
Driving license New York also worked with my EAD card. I got it with two years of validity so it's like NSC wanted to tell me it'll take years to come...
My PD was current all the time and it'll be current at least also at the beginning of FY 2023.

I feel for you. It’s a mind game. It’s about how long you can survive by waiting for yours and same time watching others who submit after you getting approved. It’s really frustrating. I hope you will hear some good news soon!

stick with it P L. My case is similar to yours, I came on a L1b visa and dont have long left. I applied concurrently in the eb3-2 category back in oct 21.. From what i have seen there is a huge difference between ours and eb1 or eb2, and even eb3-1 in how long we wait on average for i485 approval. Try and get some better insights from hilites.today and hope you get a transfer soon.

So you want to say they really prefer graduates. Despite having I-140 approved.

I got some pesky comments sadly on another forum that that's normal, immigrants spend $100,000 and more to get a degree and they would like to be preferred.
I have 22 years of experience and my last tax return was $598k. I am not ashamed not having a degree. But I begin to see USCIS prefers degrees

positive side: I closed on a wonderful house for me and my husband. In the case we have to leave we can rent it out.
My husband is US citizen. So it everything fails we'll begin from scratch.

I with you 100% I take not having a degree as a badge of honor but I think it's just a numbers game in the end, far to many varibles at play. It does seem some what slow for eb3-2. what's your Lin? Lin21 or 22?
P LJul 22, 2022
LIN21. receipt November 2020.

Can you not open a service ticket with that time frame? I at least transfered out to NBC but that was back in March and still no update.
P LJul 22, 2022
No for USCIS I'm still at normal processing time.

I asked Emma and she came back with *security background checks still going on"

I don't think so, I just think the category is what it says, a lower preference. Stay positive, all our times come eventually 🙏

Funny - I just got an update - my case was transferred to another office which has jurisdiction: National Benefits Center.
So I hope that means that my case is actually moving.
My lawyer tells me that a possible I-485J RFE could arrive as it is already over a year since my I-140 is approved. My employer knows it and is ready to sign it. No problems from this side.
In fact I am working already for that employer using my EAD.

hey PL, did you get it approved? I have been waiting on mine just like you did and am on same situation.
