@hope hope , you don't need no c31 ead since you already have one, c31 simply means you only get ead when your vawa is approved, c9 means you can get ead through your i485 application,

CONGRATULATIONS . since you have c09 work authorization you’re fine. if you had applied for another work authorization when you submitted VAWA you would have gotten another (c31). they are pretty much the same thing ( work authorization under different categories) also when did you submit your VAWA?

If the VAWA petition is approved, the immigrant is granted deferred action status in most cases. Deferred action means that removal, or deportation, proceedings will not be initiated. Applicants are also eligible for work authorization upon approval of their VAWA petition.

@hope hope were you ever in removal proceedings before filing for Vawa??? if yes , that could be the reason for the clause on your approval letter. otherwise, its approved already and nothing to worry about anymore. Have you received RFE for your medicals???

@divine intervention ; I didn’t have any removel issues, after my EX withdrawal his position, I applied for vawa and new 485 . the only thing I got from uscis was withdrawal notice and they notified me what he did. Hopefully nothing happens again!! my vawa was approved on February 21/2024 , no any medical RFE yet.

@hope hope It's good news. This simply means that you are protected against all forms of deportation or threat. yes you will have your green card between 6 to 14 months after your vawa is approved.
