hmm…I’m a bit confused!:)I applied for my c09 EAD renewal . applied as advance parole plus work authorization. while waiting on approval I got my VAWA approved and got c31 work authorization.
so now I got my c31 work authorization without travel permit and a few days ago I got a notification that my work authorization card for c09 is being produced but my 131 travel permit remained the same…:I have two questions: 1) does it mean I can use both work authorization cards or not? 2) did anyone applied for EAD card and also got the same update only about their work authorization but still received a combo card? my confusion for the whole process is beyond comprehension 😅. btw, for those who will be asking I filed vawa in Jan 2021 and still have no notice of approval but got the card. I believe it will take a few more months to get the notice and got it transferred to the GC office

hi! so, i applied for renewal of my EAD c09 and AP. in the meantime, my vawa was approved and I received EAD c31 without AP. no movement on my AP and my status for I-485 still didn't change to "case transfered to another office"

I have 2 EADs currently with two different expiring date. I use both of them. so it’s possible

@Nicki M this is the first time i'm hearing this. so, if on one EAD says that is valid for reentry and on ead c31 says not valid for reentry, i can use ead c09 with Ap?

@Mrkvica M. yes you can. one of my ead comes with AP & the other doesn’t. I use the one with AP to travel out of the country & I use the one without for job because the expiry date is farther

@olga s I got my EAD approval first after 30 days my AP approved. The initial card was combo but not this one. work authorization came as a card but Ap arrived as paper

congratulations, how long take you to get the c31 work permit after they changed your status to new card is being produced. I’ve been waiting for 12 days after they changed my status to new card is being produced and I never received it.

@Mrkvica M. @Nicki M so answering the EAD question-I found on the internet that c09 is the work authorization for the 485 petition and c31 is work authorization for 1-360. so basically some people just apply for 360 and wait for the approval to only then apply for 485. idk which card would be considered more valid but will ask my lawyer when I receive my c09 condo card (and if)

@vinz man no, mine C31 is valid for 2 years and it is not valid for re-entry. I applied for renewal of AP in Oct 2023 and still nothing
