How much longer will we have to wait?
We're 429 days in. I'm a US citizen and applied for my husband, September 20th, 2023, with a lawyer. I contacted our lawyer to ask what to expect from the incoming administration to get some assurance that he will be ok but he said that unfortunately he can't give me any assurances until the new administration takes office and get a read on the situation and next steps.. Anyone have September approvals? We were initially Nebraska sc and apparently transferred to California sc. there has been no updates at all for 421 days. He was brought here illegally as a minor, he lives here with me and our children. Please don't say the "oh at least he's with you" because we still have to worry about him being deported. It's kind if frustrating that I'm seeing approvals from people who have just filed this year? 😐

@O Morales Did you apply for the 485? or just 130?
I am very sorry for your situation. You must be scared. I don’t think anyone knows the answers. I hope and pray for you that he is approved. Anyone brought to the US as a child should not be punished. It is horrible.

@Kingsley B thank you for your kind words! I'm sick to my stomach. No, unfortunately we didn't file the 485 concurrently as the lawyer said we should wait because a better opportunity might present for a faster pathway. As we all know it did but was super short lived and unfortunately we weren't approved quickly enough to take advantage of the PIP.

@O Morales I cannot imagine what you are going through. Trump has some odd ideas about immigration but he also seems to care about keeping families together. I hope he is more lenient when he takes office. Especially for people like you and your husband. I would gladly wait an extra year for mine if it meant you could get approved. Please post as time goes on with updates. I will keep you in my prayers 🙏💕
