I-129F Request For Evidence (RFE): Two Year Meeting Requirement
We only included 7 photos of us with our original submission and received an RFE for the Two Year Meeting Requirement: You must establish that you and the beneficiary have been in each other's physical presence at any time during the two years immediately preceding the filing of this petition. The photographs of you and the beneficiary establish that you have met in person; however, they do not establish when you met. Submit evidence that you and your fiance(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-year period before the filing date of your petition. Evidence may include, but is not limited to: • Your own statement which must include the date, place, and circumstances of your meeting. If you submit a personal statement it must be supported by additional evidence. • Copies of travel documents (itineraries, airline tickets, boarding passes; hotel accommodations, etc). • Photos (date and place of the photo must be handwritten on photos). • Letters written to each other after your meeting(s), referencing the specific date and place of your meeting(s). • Military orders or letters from commanding officers. • Photocopies of your passport and/or your fiance(e)' s passport, (including biographical data pages and pages showing entry and exit stamps showing that you have both been present in a given location at the same time. • Affidavits of friends, neighbors, or other knowledgeable associates. All affidavits must conform to the guidelines cited below: Written statements sworn to or affirmed by two persons, other than yourself and the person you are petitioning for, who were living at the time the event(s) occurred, and who have personal knowledge of the event you are trying to prove. The persons making the affidavits may be relatives and need not be citizens of the United States. Each affidavit must contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: • His or her full name, address, phone number, date and place of birth. • Relationship to you, if any. • Complete details concerning how and when she or he acquired knowledge of the fact(s) to which he or she attests. • A complete copy of his or her identity document such as a driver's license, state ID card or passport. • Any evidence that will help USCIS determine that you have met the beneficiary within the two years.
