I 485- Case Processing (NBC or Field Office)
If 485 interview is waived- does the case still needs to be transferred to local field office OR NBC will make the final decision without the case transfer.

i personally believe if interview is waived , national benefits center will jus hit it straight without going to the field office

bcos the whole point of going to the field office is for the interview and in this case interview is waived so what’s the point going there again

AT, when USCIS sends RFE asking for docs that you should be showing on the interview it’s a “sign” that is likely to be waived. it’s a very common RFE along with medicals. I hope it helps 😊

that’s the confusing part. NBC asked for 693 to be mailed. you would assume interview waived. then I raised a Service request to check status. got an email stating case is at field office. just to double confirm- when I called uscis , they informed it is still at NBC. conflicting info.

@ Z. A but in same letter it also stated in case u don’t have to attend interview they will request for the evidence and then give further instructions ... so waive can be an alternative for them either ways

same eb3 90 days since fingerprints were taken no results. NBC center, filed oct 2020, pd April 2020. FO San francisco :(

@ Sln RDM it’s eb3. my field office was supposed to be San francisco. but got a letter from Sacramento. my lawyer said it’s normal that they trying to balance the workload between the offices.

So was the Interview Waived? I got RFE from FO to submit Medical. I did and 3 weeks no update yet. Not sure if Interview will be scheduled next or decision made. Raised SR - Case is currently under review. Notice will be mailed once decision is made. Does it mean interview waived?
