I-526 Approved and Sent to DOS
There was an update on our I-526 application which was already approved on May 31, 2024. The latest update indicates that the case has been sent to the Department of State for visa processing. Not sure what this means ?

It means National Visa Center will contact you to apply for a visa. Don’t do it, it will waste coulple hundreds of dollars and lots of energy. Wait for your 485, it will approve soon.

Based on old policy, you will need to wait for 526 approve, get a visa and fly to US to submit 485 forms when you are physically in US. So now it means you are qualified to apply for visa and use that to legally enter US. If your 131 expires and need to leave us immediately, then get a visa for reentry. If you have a long waiting 485, just wait for it to approve, save you money and time.

ok, mine I-485 is already concurrently submitted in Sep 2022. I will just wait for I-485 to be approved.
