check the processing times of i-824 on USCIS website. just like how you check for the I-130.

normally I should receive a letter notifying me that they have received my application and which center is processing my i824

you might receive it anytime now. i think it will take at least 3-4 weeks to receive a response from them. or try contacting USCIS thru your inbox

@Guyzo yung that is a Mail Dropbox for the USCIS it takes them 2 weeks for them to collect the mail from the box after post office delivers the mail there, me too i sent mine and usps delivered that yesterday

why did you send i824 to uscis? you were asked to sent it because an error on your application or something else. keep us apdated . I have to send one too.

@H I yes they will ask you to send one if you made a mistake on the i130 like if you selected for the adjustment of status consular process and the adjustment in the US at the same time

i send it to tell USCIS to send my i130 approuved to nvc

looks like my petition has no error or mistake at all and I asked for my petition to be processed in a consulate not to adjust status , but will do .another long wait again.

i sent it on sep14 yet no response. waited 22month for i-130 now this no idea how long to wait again. Even after no mistakes at all.

the i824 process take between 3 to 6 months to get approved, it depends if it’s to transfer your approved i130 to the nvc for consular process it’s 3 months the rest is up to 6 months, i heard you can expedite the i824 too

My case is to transfer to NVC, i got a received letter after filing i-824 they said procesing it. and the service centre is potomac centre but unfortulately i was unable to check the process time in the website because there is no Potomac service centre options. This is weired.

the processing time for the i824 you can look it up on the uscis website or Google it

i did it showed 90days somewhere up to 18months depends on what type of action needed. Action on approved application is very specic and weired. There is no specefic details on it. Specially approved i-130.

what is the reason why you are applying for the i824? yes action for your i130 to be transferred to the NVC is the easiest one that recommends 90 days the rest deserves further procedure

After receiving i-130 approved letter they mentioned that i did not indicate on the petition wether the beneficary intends for immigrant visa abroad or US consulate for Adjustment of status therefor they retained my approved Application and asked me to file i824 Action on Approved petition i roder to transfer file to NVC . I applied i130 for my wife who lives outside usa.

yes correct go check on your i130 application and verify the number 61.a to 61.b that is the adjustment of status section if You did not mention that the beneficiary will do the immigrant visa abroad which means at the consulate, if you did them that is their mistake you do not need to submit an i824, if you left that section blank too yes you have to submit the i824. me my mistake was i choose both which was wrong too so i submitted the i824

After mailling it they will send you a recieve notice with a receipt number on it in 2,3 weeks.

@abu chowdhury...i send my i824 october 4,2022 and USCIS received it september 6,2022 ...but so far I have not received a receipt number

yes I sent it on October 4 by USPS and I tracked and saw that it was delivered on September 6

They should send u a mail in 2,3 weeks . if you not receive it yet call uscis or you can also chat with emma online and make an inquiry through uscis online help. what ever you want to fo make it quick because they always take time and this is so frustrating.

no, it’s not going to delay your case. request for expedite is free and unlimited anyways.

i just expedited my i824 and the best to do that is through humanitarian reason

call the USCIS number when the robot says what can do for you today say info pass she is gonna redirect you to an agent and say you want to expedite your i824 expedite reason. it depends on the agent too

and what reason could I give for it to be expedite? actually my wife is at Navy Formation

ok she is at the navy basic training, are you outside the US or inside the US? is she US citizen yet? if she’s a US citizen after her boot camp she can call and expedite saying she will go to deployment me too I’m in the navy too and between both of you who is the beneficiary and the petitioner? cause that is important too

ok i see, she is LPR that is why they’re not granting the expedite request, wait until she finishes the Navy formation she will get her citizenship and then they will expedite your case for you.

While filing I-130, I made a mistake of filling information for adjustment of status location and also consular process wherein I should have only filled consular location that is (your country consular office location). I hope you will understand my situation and forward my case to NVc for consular process.

what service centre your i-824 is in? my one is so weird because my approved applicarion came from california then after filling i-824 they send a receipt letter stating that its in potomac centre. Theres is no centre on the website to see that time frame. do u know anything about it?

there is ni centre that does i-824 in potomac

my i130 originally was from California and then got transferred to Texas i got approved at Texas, so my i824 is in California

my one orginallt from nevarska then tranferree to california now why does it states that YSC case from potomac after receiving i-824 receipt from ucsis!

that’s what happened to you, your i130 was from Potomac initial so your i824 is going to be send to Potomac, and i hear Potomac and Vermont people are waiting past 9 months
