Interview Scheduled in New Orleans, LA - Immigration Medical Exam (I-693) Providers?
Hi all,
My interview was scheduled at the New Orleans, Louisiana, field office. I have to bring my form I-693 to the interview, but the USCIS designated doctors I called in my area (New Orleans, Mid-City to Westbank) are either not picking up the phone or not providing immigration medical exams anymore. I have been trying to schedule my appointment for almost a week now. I am getting worried...
Where did you do your medical exam in the New Orleans area, and how much did it cost you?
Thank you!

@Im Destined for GREATNESS: thank you so much for your help, and so sorry you had a bad experience with this provider! I called at all times of the day and Dr. Guillen's assistant in Marrero just gave me a call back. She said between labs and physical exam, all should be completed in 2 weeks!

@Mohendra ramroop: thank you so much for your help. My status changed to ready to be scheduled around 10/15/2021 and got the notification that I was scheduled on 01/11/2022, so I waited about 3 months to be scheduled for an interview. To be honest, from the reviews I have seen, I expected to wait a little longer. My interview is in the last week of February 2022.

@Nancy MH you are lucky to have your interview so soon. My lawyer filed in Dec 2020 and I got an RFE I. June and got the response letter after I submitted all required paperwork and information in august 31st 2021 stating I am scheduled for an interview. I have been waiting impatiently ever since. I would suggest you also visit your local health unit and speak to them. you will most likely get all of your tests and vaccinations done free of charge.

Nancy MH wow New Orleans office is working? My daughter case was ready to be scheduled for interview since 08/24/21 till present nothing yet. your post just gave me some kind of hope. Goodluck!

@Mohendra ramroop : thanks for your advice! Actually me and my husband filed back in October 2020 and absolutely nothing happened until the end of September/October 2021 - I wasn't issued a RFE either. Everything came at once, so my guess is that they are really backed up.

@ Abby Abby: Thank you! It is a waiting game with them, and I'm not sure I understand the logic behind their case processing either. Hang in there, your daughter will be next!

hello @NancyMH. can you please share more details of your case? My family based AOS has a PD of 30/09/2020 and has been stuck on Ready to be scheduled for over 8 months now. What is your PD/type of AOS?

Hello @New Orleans PD 09/30/20: Thank you! I found a doctor in New Orleans.
My PD is 10/23/2020. I filed for AOS through marriage to a U.S. Citizen. My case is pretty straightforward. I don't think we had any red flags, and we didn't receive any RFE. I called, messaged Emma, reached out to my U.S. Rep., tried to expedite many times to no avail for a year. Absolutely nothing happened on my case until October 2021, when I got my biometrics appointment and received my EAD + Advance Parole. I got the notification that I was scheduled for an interview on Jan. 11, and it's for the end of February.
Hope that helps and that you will be scheduled soon.
