late arrival of biometrics letter
hello, my friend got her biometrics appointment letter for student visa application last Oct 26 6pm. after reading it, she learned that her biometrics schedule is Oct 26 1pm... obviously she wasn't able to come. she feels frustrated coz she waited for it in 7 long months then arrived late.
1. what she need to do now?
2. how can she request for biometric re schedule?
3. she is about to get married in 2 days, is this will be an issue when she file for AOS? she just extended her B2 visa since she is waiting for her F1 approval but her fiancé asked her to marry her after living together for 8months.
thanks in advance.

you’ll just need to call explain the situation and they’ll reschedule. you’ll be considered high priority since you had a previous appointment you couldn’t attend so it should hopefully not be a long wait. next time instead of waiting for a letter you can actually check if an appointment was scheduled on your MY USCIS account:
https://my.uscis.gov/en/appointment/v2
if it says no appointment found that means it wasn’t scheduled yet. she can check this periodically

where can she explain? should she write a letter? she tried to call but she said she can't speak to a representative, she did tried calling Oct 27 early morning up to before lunch but she wasn't able to speak to a representative. it was written in the letter that failed to show up in appointment means abandonment of application. does she needs to come to the address mentioned for biometrics and present the post office stamp of late arrival?

go to the filed office with the letter, explain the situation. they'd likely reason with yoj and let you submit biometrics. I've heard people do that since it's not their fault
