@ C K, have you called USCIS to speak with a tier 2 officer? You are not supposed to wait this long.

@Ras Staph, yeah that fear has been going around for a few years now. If you have a previous visa violation/over-stay, then you may been questioned at re-entry but if not, you would have zero issues.

after getting your EAD do you apply for SS or they automatically send it to you??

@Shauna Douglas, sometimes it comes with the EAD pack, but if it doesn't, then apply straightway for it at the nearest local Social Security Administrative Office.

@Flex Acer, no, I have never had any issued with US official abroad while boarding back. The only place you could meet US Customs and Border Protection is in Abu Dhabi, if you are flying Etihad Airways to the United States.

Double Grace I called to make an appointment yesterday and they told I should wait two more weeks,because %80 of the time persons end up getting two cards one in male and another

okay I was wondering if the guys that check your passport and or green cards at a foreign country before boarding a plan to the US will have an issue.,

@Flex acer, they just check if you have a valid Advance Parole and a pending Adjustment of Status application (you must have all your receipt notices with you when you travel) and then they let you go in minute's

Thanks for sharing your experience. Are you filling I-140 NIW with F1 visa? this is my case and I’m not sure if it’s safe to use advance parole to travel while having my I-140 pending

@Ahmed Kasha, you are welcome. Yes, my 1-140 is pending and yes, very safe to travel with AP. As I said, I have done it TWICE in the last six months with no issues whatsoever.

Hi @double grace thanks for sharing your experience, I have one question, when you arrived to the us do they asked you the reason why you were outside?

@Valerie Lopez, no one asked me ANY question. Just took my AP document, I-485 Receipt Notice and passport, went to secondary inspection for a few minutes (that's where the officers have more time to check your USCIS application status online, so the officers outside don't keep others waiting too long on the immigration queue) and then you are out in few minutes. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

did you use the same advance parole document to travel during the different situations? did you get 2 stamps?

every time you enter they stamp your passport

@Aj Raf: No, I didn't overstay my visa. just applied for a greencard (EB1) after 4 months of stay

and I have only used my advance parole to Nigeria, multiple times already
