MyProgress
Hi! I submitted my I-130 March 2 and haven’t received any updates besides the receipt notice and an active review on March 7. Under the myProgress tab in the USCIS website it says that there’s and estimated 2 weeks left until case decision. Earlier this week it said there were 3 weeks left. Did anyone notice these estimates before their case decision and are they accurate? Should I expect a case decision in 2 weeks or will it take longer? In 2 weeks it will already be 6 months since I filed for the I-130. Is it that they’re trying to get i130 cases processed in 6 months? Is the 2 week estimate for not based on that or is it an actual estimate for our specific case?

Don’t get excited it will probably change to Your Case is taking Longer than Expected and remain there for months

standard timeline is 6 months, my husband submitted our petition 3 months ago and it says 3 months left. I think that’s the goal the want to reach, but 99% of the time they take longer than expected up to a year or more. maybe you could be one of those lucky ones that get approved within 6 months. I truly hope that the new my progress timeline is accurate because that would mean I’ll be approved in 3 months. fingers crossed for you!

@Ranell Simmons @Caleb peacock @Aury V @andre card Thank you all for your responses! It seems like six months is the goal but it would probably take a year or more. Hopefully it will be soon enough. Wish you all luck

As you guys said, it changed into “your case is taking longer than expected to process.” So that estimated time frame is just a six month countdown that doesn’t really mean much about your individual case. A reasonable estimate for this time would be between 11 and 14 months.
