After approval of green card, do we need a new social security number or you can use your existing SSN?

your SSN doesn’t change. you can call Social Services SSA and inform them of your new status and they’ll send you an updated card without restrictions

Book an appointment at your nearest SS office to update your status and remove the restrictions on your card
Though your SSN would remain the same

I’m sure if you applied for one through AOS they will send you an updated one after you get approved, USCIS wires the information to the SSA.
