Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It
Hello,
About a month after completing my biometric fingerprints, my status changed to ‘Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It.’ However, I had received all previous notices without any issue. I noticed that other people have also experienced this status update. Have you received any additional information regarding this matter?
Thnak you!

this happened to me for the receipt notice for my I-485 J. if you call them they should be able to resend it. i received it then

but do you know why they were not able to deliver? because I received all other notices without issues …

Thank you! I am just afraid if it is a RFE … I called USCIS and they were not able to say if it was a RFE. They told me, the notice doesn’t have the RFE label … will see.

I have my i-485 in this situation too, same thing after the biometrics, and RFE came before the biometrics, something similar to yours. I opened a service request, no answer yet (2 weeks and counting); I called them by the time and tier-2 personal said that there was nothing returned they could see, my lawyers the same, they didn’t receive anything and said to not worry as they would have received something. My wife (dependent) i-485 wasn’t affected by this status, she is in “case remains pending” since September. we are eb1-3 row

thank you so much !

@L. B. generally if it’s RFE your case status history should show that USCIS sent a request for evidence.

yes RFE usually shows on online case history

@L. B. it is not RFE, what might have happened is that for this specific notice the person who prepared your document, made a mistake in the address by changing a number , therefore the post office could not deliver the notice and returned it to USCIS, they will figure out their mistake and will resend it with the correct address as they did with previous notices! do not worry!! this same thing happened to a friend
