NSC EB1B pending for 180+ days - worth adding premium processing or am I wasting my money as it could be approved very soon anyways?
as title.
one frustrating thing is that USCIS adjudication seems to be not strictly in the order of receipt. some cases from 1 year+ ago are somehow still pending.

I guess you're closer to approval soon. I think paying for PP at this time does not worth it.

thanks. @A T are you also NSC/EB1B?
my PD is not current either. the scary thing is knowing that you would need to start over if this gets rejected and lose your place in line. with PP at least you would know sooner and be able to restart if necessary.

I wouldn't bother given you'll probably get an RFE, mine took 255 days

@Luke W I applied on March 9, 2023, and the case is still pending. It is almost 1 year. (Same category EB1B) service center Texas. If you upgrade to PP it means RFE (100%). they want to buy time. I think applying PP is good if it is still not too late.

Thanks for sharing. I did it on the App "Inmigra USA" the community of Immigrants in the United States. inmigrausa.com
There are immigration lawyers and free collaborators.
Stay up to date on news of interest to the Latino community.
Search Inmigrate USA.
I chose the Florida community, it looks like they are starting now, so I recommend you choose Florida.
Busca inmigra USA el app del inmigrante, de verdad es muy buena tambien.
Thanks!!!

@A A that's insane, have you tried reaching out? I think you are within the time period to submit a request now, right?
A AFeb 23, 2024
@Luke W I already submitted the online request 6 weeks ago and no response yet.

my application was received on first week of June and still pending. My priority date is not current either. I saw a message on USCIS website saying they are giving preference to one's for whom the visa bulletin says that the visa is available. That's not fair I would say. What if it becomes current for me in the next month? Do I have to wait then for the USCIS to start and finish processing? what if it retrogress meanwhile?

normally upgrade to PP is a 100% guarantee of a RFE, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
try other ways to speed them up, e.g. contact your congressman.
also try to submit a service request with uscis, you can ask whether an officer is assigned to your case (if not = the case is lying on a shelf without movement)
