I do not think that you need to file tax since the deadline is April 15. You can creat an account on IRS website and get the transcript.

you can’t get 2021 now because you haven’t file for 2021 tax

the most recent mean 2020. since you did not file 2021 then of course you will not find it. you can request it online and it will arrive 5 to 10 days on the mail. or go to irstranscipts.gov and download it

so i MUST file tax return first and they process it 2 to 4 weeks before i can get the recent transcript right?

Why you keep insisting in send the 2021 if the deadline is only April? Most recent tax transcripts means 2020. Call irs and ask all yours tax transcripts tell them it is for immigration purposes they will send exactly what the uscis wants. Stop creating problems

it says on nvc instructions a tax return instead of tax transcript can be submitted with W2s and/or 1099s

that’s what I plan on submitting since I’m not waiting another 3 weeks for my 2021 tax transcript when I’ve already waited a month to submit my nvc docs in order to file my 2021 return as proof of income

verm others I know last year used their taxes as soon as they filed and then by the time they had the interview at the embassy it was past April so they were good.
