NVC processing time
Hello everyone I’m currently on NVC stage and I just wanted to know after submitting all the required documents and paid the fees how long does it take from there to NVC to process my case and schedule an interview day.what experience do you have about this little issue because I’ve heard stories that it can take up to 12 months for NVC to process one case.My country of interview will be us embassy Dakar(Senegal).

Hello Emmanuel, you have to wait to be DQ’ed by NVC after that you join the queue at your embassy for an interview date, if there are no backlogged at your embassy after DQ’ed it will go fast but if there is backlogged you will have to wait for a while. currently NVC is taking 2 and half months to DQ all submitted documents if they don’t ask you for anything more again.

I don’t know why people saying it takes 1 year at the NVC. literally 12 of my family members did this, and took them 2 weeks to be done from there, and transferred automatically to the embassy in their country.

2 weeks? is it before covid or after Covid? after Covid you looking at 3 months or more. If they DQ’ed you in the first review it will be around 3 months, but if they require more documents it will be more than 3 months.

@nana A literally recently 3 of them came to the US 2 months ago! and it didn’t take anything , 1 year at the NVC is too muchhh!

When I summit mines at the Nvc it took 3 months for me to get a reply, because the do the paperwork the orde it came in.

it took from Oct 1 2020 Priority Date until April 21, 2022 for us to be Document Qualified and still waiting on interview

@nana A their embassy is in Lebanon. I’m not sure if it just depends on the embassy’s, because believe me I have sooo many of my family members that came here

@Nana A, after the DQ are you waiting on the Ghana embassy? do you know the wait time to get an interview there?

i heard the wait time in Ghana embassy is crazy, I know someone who was DQ’ed in 2020 but still waiting for interview.
I transferred my case to Côte d’Ivoire because that’s where we stay. we did our interview and waiting to collect our passport this Friday.

The wait time in Abidjan is months too but we applied for expedited and they approved it.

it depends on the visa type you are applying for. Ours was EB2 National Interest Waiver (NIW). Not much questions:
Previous work experience and schools attended.
