exactly what it states, you have your case with National Visa Center and they require more documentation from you (which l am sure they listed in the letter) your case has moved from USCIS to NVC, once all documentation is sent they will place you in line for a visa. you should have a NVC number, go online and sign up for an account under NVC you can follow your case there.

I think I understand your question. My lawyer sent everything in as well. It shows up on the CEAC dashboard where you pay your fees, complete your 260, and submit the AOS documents and civil documents. Once we uploaded everything, it shows “submitted”. But if I go to the application status, the generic warning message you posted earlier comes up for me too.
My lawyer said not to worry, because it’s referencing the date the app was received, not the date you uploaded documentation. Also, they may not even look at what you submitted until the time they begin actively reviewing your application materials. Hope this helps.

Laura fMar 2, 2022
mine says at nvc and this …If you case is processing electronically, please log into your CEAC account at ceac.state.gov/iv with your NVC case number and 16 digit Invoice ID for case status and to learn what steps you must take to advance your case. Disregard the instructions below, they do not apply to electronic processing.
If your case is processing on paper (you mailed paper documents to NVC for review), then the case status and instructions below apply to your case.
Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espan

Laura fMar 2, 2022
it just says this Summary Information
Once your case is received at the National Visa Center (NVC), there are six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview at a U.S. Embassy overseas. You should complete steps one through three online using the table at the bottom of this page:
Step 1: Click the “Start Application” button under “Choice of Address & Agent” to complete Form DS-261. Use this form to tell NVC who they should send instructions to about your case. Please provide their e-mail address, if available. More details are online in English and Spanish.
Step 2: There are two types of fees. Click the “Pay Now” buttons to pay any required Affidavit of Support fees or Immigrant Visa Application fees. Note the application fee must be paid by each person who is immigrating, and cannot be paid until after NVC has reviewed the Form DS-261 you submitted in Step 1. More details are online in English and Spanish.
Step 3: After you pay the Immigrant Visa Application fee, please allow NVC one week to process your payment. You will then be able to access the visa application form online (Form DS-260). Click the “Start Now” button to begin. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
After you have completed these three steps, you should gather and submit all required documents to NVC:
Step 4: Your petitioner should complete the appropriate Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and collect evidence of his/her income. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
Step 5: Each visa applicant should collect the required civil documents, such as birth certificates. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
Step 6: Submit all of the required documents from Steps 4 and 5 together in one package to NVC. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
NVC will review your forms and documents once you have completed all six steps above. NVC will contact your agent to tell you if there are additional items required or if visa pre-processing is complete. You can find out how long it is taking NVC to review applicant documents at the links provided in Step 6 above.

No. Turn your attention to the messaging area on the top right side. Then also give attention to the diagram below the verbiage you just posted. Also, the area where it says “PAID”, it might turn to “N/A” which indicates your documents are now processing. Familiarize yourself with the website. There are so many tutorials and YouTube videos that can help you understand the CEAC website. Don’t frustrate yourself without cause. Be Blessed My Sister.
Laura fMar 2, 2022
thank you for your advise I do know what message center you are taking about however it does not show on my side. I will need to contact nvc to adjust this. thank you !
Shamondy OyelowoMar 2, 2022
@Laura, if you don’t see any messages then there are no changes on the case as of yet. NVC will notify you and your husband when changes are made: either by email or text. Best wishes

thank you @shamondy
Prabu VenkatramanMar 17, 2022
I submitted all the forms online through CEAC NVC portal. The forms include AOS from the Petitioner, Joint sponsor, our DS-260 as well as all required civil documents. Since then, Lawfully keeps saying "Action required: Submit required documents". It does not seem to understand that the documents are already submitted. Next is that this message is saying, we should mail the documents to NVC? Seems pretty outdated message. Any thoughts?
Laura fMar 17, 2022
I went through the same thing a couple of weeks ago! I mailed everything they asked for and 15 days later they answered me with and email and now my case is complete and is at nvc!
Laura fMar 17, 2022
I am not sure why it was very confusing. however it quickly moved when I send in the required forms.
Prabu VenkatramanMar 17, 2022
The link clearly says do not mail anything to NVC. So it is conflicting message. Let me wait for a few days and see :-)
Shamondy OyelowoMar 17, 2022
@Laura, please explain what you mean “my case is complete and at NVC”. Are you referring to what Lawfully is showing or are you referring to what NVC says in the CEAC portal?
Laura fMar 17, 2022
@shamondy a couple a weeks ago my ceac status was asking for me to submit documents like @prabu. I had submitted everything electronically however this message kept appearing when I contacted nvc they ask me to please submit a what was being asked for.( joint sponsor info, ds 260, etc) Nvc sent me an email and 15 days later stating they had received all the submitted paperwork and that I was now on Queue for an appointment. my status changed to at Nvc on my ceac portal. And lawfully. I am now on what is called Documentary Qualified (DQ) and on queue waiting for an appointment! https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV I
Laura fMar 17, 2022
@Shamondy This is a little of what the email starts of with!
Dear Sir/Madam,
The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case. The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.
Prabu VenkatramanMar 17, 2022
oh. this is very weird. thanks @laura. I am planning to speak to the number given to see what needs to be done from my side. Did you physically mail all the documents from your country to the USA?
Shamondy OyelowoMar 17, 2022
@Laura, thanks for the information
Laura fMar 17, 2022
@Prabu yes very weird. I wish I would have known sooner. I kept waiting for a status change. and finally decided to contact them. yes I did physically mail everything to NVC @ Document Review Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I am my husbands petitioner and we are both in the US.
Shamondy OyelowoMar 17, 2022
@Laura, has the status of your documents in CEAC changed from “Submitted” to Complete or Qualified?
Laura fMar 17, 2022
@Shamondy it has remained in Complete.
Shamondy OyelowoMar 17, 2022
@Laura, this is wonderful. very happy for your progress. Glad you and your husband are already together. We are hoping to be reunited. Thanks for the information again.

I have the same issue on my application starus. could you tell me how you solved it
Shamondy OyelowoApr 11, 2022
@ali nouri, that status is just the information from Lawfully because you may have completed your submissions electronically. Just wait until NVC notifies you about the status, or continually visit the CEAC site for case status.

Thank you for this post and congratulations! It gives me some hope. My case sat at ucis for almost 7 months, is now at nvc, submitted all the documents, paid etc on April 11th 2022. I hope I hear soon! How long once documents are DQ, until interview? My interview location is in Madrid, but I’m here in the USA visiting right now, was told that adjusting status would delay it….if nvc are working to 75 days… I should hear at the end of the month…ish…I hope!
Raquel MooreJun 6, 2022
I keep seeing the same message, ‘submit documents’ but all has been submitted 😔
Laura fJun 6, 2022
same @raquel I have been seeing the same message however I have been DQ since feb 22 2022
Raquel MooreJun 6, 2022
Have did the nvc let you know? Are you at interview stage? Thank you
Shamondy OyelowoJun 6, 2022
@Raquel Moore, you should get an email saying document “READY”. If you have not, check CEAC for any messages and follow directions. You will have to click the link in messages to access the note.
Shamondy OyelowoJun 6, 2022
The Submit Documents will be there until your documents are reviewed. once READY, that note will change to AT NVC
Laura fJun 6, 2022
@raquel I received an email stating they did not need anymore documents from me and that I was on queue for my interview. Now every 60 days I receive the same email saying I am still on queue and to keep waiting.
Daniel EdetJul 3, 2022
I have paid all the fees and submitted all the requested document, still yet I'm getting getting "action required, submit requested document, its been 8month my document has been with the NVC" its really confusing I don't even know what to do anymore if I'm to mail the document to their office or just keep waiting
Laura fJul 3, 2022
@daniel yes it is very confusing mine still says to submit documents to nvc but i am in queue for an interview. I received the email that i was on queue and that nvc did not need anything else from me. When i reached out to nvc in January they said they were having problems with the status updating on page. However i would recommend submitting an inquiry if you have been waiting with no response or update on page!
Shamondy OyelowoJul 3, 2022
@Daniel, that’s a generic message that practically everyone gets. I had same until about a few days ago. I got DQ on 6/18/2022. Don’t stress yourself. If you are really concerned, then give a call to NVC for clarity or submit an inquiry. I submitted an inquiry back in March about the same message and just got a response a few days ago about the status of my file. Again, do not stress yourself.
Christina MAug 1, 2022
If someone can answer this I’d really appreciate the help. We were DQ’d Aug 9,2021. Our CEAC has been saying “At NVC”. We got 5 emails of 60 days. I’ve been checking the CEAC website every day. Last Friday 7/29/22 our status changed from “At NVC” to “Action Required” “Sumbot requested documents”. Weird, we’ve already been DQ’d. I’ve been seeing everywhere on my Facebook feed for the group that I’m in that this means our case is being transferred to Ciudad Juárez and soon it will say “In Transit”. Anybody have an idea what this means? Our lawyer has never seen anything like this before I did write to the NVC in an inquiry but of course it takes a while for them to get back to you. Please help
Shamondy OyelowoAug 1, 2022
@Christina M, have you checked the messages to see what documents are required? It does not mean your case is moving forward. You should be checking your messages. Also, if you have a lawyer, why aren’t they guiding you through this process.
Laura fAug 2, 2022
@Christina that is very interesting that your lawyer has never seen it. However . In Transit status indicates your case is being sent to a U.S. embassy or consulate. Once the embassy receives the application, applicants will receive an appointment letter.
Laura fAug 2, 2022
@christina your appomtment is about to arrive congratulations my changed today as well!
Laura fAug 2, 2022
im sorry i wanna clarify my first message mine said "no action required: review in progress" now it says "in transit" i am waiting for letter/email of actual date!
Christina MAug 3, 2022
@Laura F, our status has not changed to “In transit” yet. we already have been documentarily qualified so I don’t think we have to send any updated taxes. I know we will have to bring them to Juarez. I’m waiting for it to change to “In Transit” but it has not since Friday. when should I expect it to change?
Laura fAug 3, 2022
@Christina according to my fb group your day is getting closer i have seen cases starting to become scheduled. its been a year i would expect it to move in the next couple of months. Good luck. and to answer your question better i filed an inquiry because my status showed as submit documents action required for many months. they explained that they were having issues with status updates. this response was given on feb 2022. i wouldnt worry so much if you have everything in place. specially since you have been DQ.
Christina MAug 3, 2022
@Laura F, how long did it take for your status to change from “action required, submit documents” to “In transit”?

Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 14, 2022
Hello Guys, I will be happy if I can get a straight answer to my case. I petitioned for my wife and two kids and case is now with nvc. NVC requested for 2020 w2 form /1099, which I sent with applications initially and has been accepted. They requested for same documentation in June 2022, I resend it again with up to date w2 forms and year to date pay stubs to show my financial stability. But to my surprise, they accepted all documents and still requested for it again today. I’m tired, what should I do?
Shamondy OyelowoAug 14, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN you either do not have enough income or need to give another form of proof such as your tax transcript. Make sure that the sponsor has enough income for the number of dependents in the home and you. There are guidelines that must be followed. Also, request the past three years tax transcripts and send those. They are easier to read that the W-2/1099. I hope this helps.
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 14, 2022
@shamondy, thanks for your reply. I do have enough income for 4 of us according to the guideline. I will attach the tax returns documents tomorrow.
Shamondy OyelowoAug 14, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN tax return documents and tax transcripts are different.
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 15, 2022
@shamondy, thank you. I will get tax transcripts and send it to them. Should I upload it or mail it to nvc?
Shamondy OyelowoAug 15, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN upload as you have in the past. there is a drop down for tax transcripts.
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 15, 2022
@shamondy, thank you
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 15, 2022
@shamondy, upon checking my application, I see that I’ve previously submitted the tax transcript and they accepted it.
Shamondy OyelowoAug 15, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN then it is better you contact NVC immediately to know the problem. I heard an attorney say many people are getting this issue. You just have to contact NVC and tell them you submitted the required documents and there are no other documents. Also put a note on those same documents in CEAC. But check with NVC before you do the note.
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 15, 2022
@shamondy, Thank you for your response. I just submitted an inquiry and hopefully they can fix it soon because I don’t know what else to give to them.
Shamondy OyelowoAug 15, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN I suggest you call then (if possible). I know at some point they were not accepting calls from the general public. I am not sure if this is still the same. But be of good cheer. Be encouraged. This will not last always. Please be sure to return with your success story.
Gbenga ADEOGUNAug 17, 2022
@shamondy, thanks for being responsive. I submitted an inquiry on Sunday and also reported the issue to the congress office in my county, and to my surprise they emailed me today that the 2020 w2 forms I uploaded was under the applicants name, that I need to upload it under my name/ the petitioner name. I wonder what difference it make or why couldn’t they explain that to me since march when I’ve been uploading it same way and they’ve also been accepting it like that without further explanation but I’m glad they finally reply with full explanation today. All uploaded accordingly, fingers crossed!
Shamondy OyelowoAug 17, 2022
@Gbenga ADEOGUN this is wonderful news! I’m glad to hear you have resolved the issue. Best Wishes

this thread is extremely confusing. no one has given a straight answer. it is frustrating.
the original question is: the person submits all documents (civil and financial) on CEAC. the status still says to physically send documents to NVC address. is this really required, or is the NVC status website old/outdated/not applicable?
I don't think this question has been clearly answered anywhere in this thread. is this required? I just don't want to voluntarily mail/email the NVC things, and have my case slow down. can someone just please give a straight answer already!
She VaOct 6, 2022
Did anyone get answeres from nvc yet? I already submitted everything, and i still got this message since 8/8/22
NVC cannot review your submitted documents until we have received all of the required documents DS-260, Civil Documents and Financial Documents. Once these documents have been submitted, we will review your case. Please follow your CEAC Home page and https://nvc.state.gov.
