Same situation here…FO is Memphis TN. had my interview on June 6 and no updates till today..only I-130 changed. He approved us on the spot and told me to expect my card in 7-21 days but it’s been 22 days already and nothing

@nick, at least you for I-130 update. my status hasn’t changed at all…was told I would receive it in two weeks.

@yas P, he gave a letter says “held for review”. He said this letter doesn’t indicate the status of my case only shows that I was present for the interview. Maybe there is a delay in their system…

@WH I didn’t even get any letter at the interview. i think there seems to be quite several people who are in the same boat as us right now. fingers crossed we’ll get a status update within 2-3 weeks

maybe their system is really slow or they approve cases in batch. who knows. but the fact that we were verbally approved means we’re going to get the approval notice. it’s just a matter of when.

@yas P, yeah definitely should stay optimistic. I heard some people got their approval mail first before the online status updates. This may happen to us also I guess

i was told that i would get an answer since January 11 of this year lol. I hope I seriously get approved soon since Inhad not applied for the work permit nor the AP. So I really need that greencard

@ WH it will update with time, and how long dose your case took from ready to be scheduled for an interview, to interview scheduled? mine has been a month now status hasn’t changed to interview scheduled

@ W H, someone got approval yesterday. they also got verbal approval after interview that was on 7th June in NYC. Their I-130 was approved the following day. And for I-485 it took 3 weeks to be approved. I’m still waiting for my approval. I had my interview on 7th June, also NYC but I didn’t get approved on spot and mine is held for review. My I-130 got approved on the 8th June and still waiting for I-485 to be approved. It’s still in “Interviews Scheduled” status.

@Mercyful God, I actually never had the “ready to be scheduled” status. It just changed to “interview scheduled” directly from being reviewed. I think this might depend on the field office?

@ W H I did. they keep saying that everything looks good and I just have to wait so the adjucatong officer can make a decision. but he is the one who told us that we will get an answer within a week. also another issue I have is that I forgot to apply for I765 and I131. I had only applied for I485 and I130 and I have nothing approved yet

@Divine S, same with me too. I’m actually planning to apply for 765 and 131 now since the 485 hasn’t changed. I don’t know if that can be done or not

Similar situation. I-485 family based AOS. Interview went well. IO sent us with a paper that said, “Recommended for approval” along with verbal approval. Corresponding I-130 was approved the next day. I-485 Status still reads, “Interview was scheduled” after 75 days. Interview date: 26th April. FO: Des Moines.

I had my interview on May 18th and still says "interview scheduled". They sent me an RFE which I already sent back, but no updates via mail or online... Given that all of us are experiencing this it must be a delay in their system :'(

has anyone received their greencard yet? i also interviewed july 19 and was told to expect my greencard soon. but until now, it is still “interview was scheduled”

Hi K P, I just received my GC. Status changes from “Interview was scheduled” to “Approved” after five months. in between, I received my EAD (2 months after interview) and AP (4 months after interview). We decided to put an inquiry via senator‘a office. We believe that it did the trick. Good luck.

@Prince, what are the steps involved in putting Enquiry through senetor ? my case has been 4 months after interview and no update .

@Prince, also, does the senetor has to be the one in the city I live or the city I had my interview? I’m asking this because I had my interview in Memphis, TN and live in Little Rock, AR. I need help and will reach out to his office.

@nick h: It should be based on where you live. As far as procedure is concerned, go to senator’s / congressperson‘a website. they should have a link that says, “help with government agencies” and instructions on how to fill out the form.

@nick h: Just explain your case. If they sent you with a verbal confirmation / piece of paper that said, “Recommended for approval” at the interview, include that information. In general, they would just need your receipt number, form type (I-485 etc), alien number and an authorization form signed (allowing them to query USCIS on your behalf) along with a short description of the issue. hope this helps.
