I've sent my marriage certificate in English and urdu. Please explain what you mean by a photo copy?

And the documents I've sent do they need to be sent a certain way?

For U.S. immigration purposes, Pakistani Muslim applicants must present both an original, signed Nikah Nama (with its English translation) and a NADRA-issued marriage registration certificate. Note that while both documents reflect similar information, each on its own does not constitute sufficient proof of marriage.

I submitted my nikah nama in English and urdu but I didn't submit a nadra issued marriage certificate.

Given that you said they had accepted everything and only rejected the marriage certificate, now that you know all 3 that you're to submit, then that's all you need to do. If they need anything else they will certainly inform you. But for now you're okay, gather all required docs again and resubmit. All the best on your journey and keep us updated on your process 😊

🤗Thank you!. I'm always happy to help. We all need the help at some point. After submitting you may get a confirmation in a week or two stating that they have recieved it.. But how long they take to review varies. it could take a month or 2 but it all depends though!. Hopefully when you resubmit they get started on your case right away!.

So Kay Law do I have to scan my documents and then turn them into pdf and make them 2mg size and then combine all three sources of documents together?

Or can I send them in originally without scanning ?

@Shabina. Farrukh is correct, Do not send the originals (those are only needed at your interview) only send the photocopies of each document including the English version all together in your packet. Notarize the Nikah Nama and its translation as Farrukh said.

I meant to say should I submit the original copy as an take a picture of the document with my camera and upload it or should I scan the document by my printer and then submit it?

phone camera pictures not acceptable … scan original documents and then print out on paper and put on envelope right on address Nvc … then go to usps or usps or fedex give them envelope…

@Shabina.. that's awesome! I'm so happy to hear, one step closer 🙌🏾.. Generally it takes a month or Two to be scheduled for interview after DQ but giving the time frames now and backlogs I say give it 3-6 months. But hopefully they process yours fast within 3 months. Keep me updated please.

DQ is Documentary Qualified once all of your Documents are approved then you are DQ'd and then you wait for NVC to set up a Interview date for your visa

@Shabina Hey dear!.. Unfortunately, there's no way to know how many people are ahead of you. And even if there was nothing will go in order. everything is just random now. They are pretty unorganized. The best I can tell you is that you're in line for an interview, so you'll just have to wait until they get to you hun. Who knows, they might schedule you soon, or as you said it might take a year or more (let's hope not). keep the updates coming

Look at the NVC Timeframes right now they are reviewing those who have submitted documents on September 7th 2021

so I submitted on November 8th

After I submitted the additional information they asked for, they took another 2 and half months to give me DQ

but yesterday they send me email your nikah nama is missing so I just uploaded today
