RFE I-693 responded with K1 DS-3025 vaccination
I just received an #RFE for #medicalexamination. I completed my medical and vaccination record overseas. My DS-3025 mentioned “K1 visa applicant completed vaccination requirements” so I uploaded on my USCIS account a copy of my #DS-3025. I know they might waived my interview if I just pay again for another medical exam, but I wanna give it a try since another K1 just summited his record and got his GC a month later. Has anyone else replied RFE like this? Thanks! FO Nashville Tennessee.

My husband was also a K-1 applicant. He had his medical exam overseas less than a year ago. They wanted a new medical exam (RFE’d). He did the medical exam here in the US and was approved. I think there are new vaccines that are being asked by applicants. I say you do another medical exam here, now that you’re in the US. They can easily deny your case if you don’t submit the correct evidence they want.

@Pau PMc Hi! Looks like I'm in the same situation as you, even the timing is really similar, and my case is also in FO Nashville, TN. I also sent my i-485 in September 2021, before they made the covid vaccine a requirement. Received an RFE for i-693 in the end of January, and I was very confused why, because my foreign medical exam and vaccinations were completed. Seems like your case was finally approved? Could you share please if you attached to your account only a copy of ds-3025 or something else, like an explanatory letter, for example? And if you sent anything at all by post mail or just uploaded online?

I did not do another medical and I got approved! What we did? 1. Since last year we contacted our Congressman. 2. Coindence or not the same day we got the RFE, the congressman office sent us an email asking for the status of our case. 3. Next day I upload on the account a copy of my DS-3025 with a post explaining that my overseas medical was still valid when summited AOS and even though at that time COVID was not requested I also sent a copy of my vaccination card. 4. Next week Congressman requested an inquiry and said between 30-45days we should get a reply. 5. Almost 2 months after I loaded the evidences I was ready to send them by mail and Congressman contacted again and requested another inquiry. Same day our case was approved even that USCIS website status didn’t change until next day. good luck!

@Pau PMc thanks for sharing! Do you mind me asking what did you say to a congressman in your initial letter? Something about long processing time?

My husband sent them an email asking for help since we had been waiting over a year for an approval mentioning that He has serve to the country as a military and hoping they could help us.
