rfe response time
I have several questions to ask…for help
my parents filed for i-485 under IR-5 on sept. 2021 and received rfe for additional family relation documents on december. the status changed to response to rfe was received on january and has been like that since then.
Im wondering if parents are usually waived for interview or not because i hear different answers from people…I heard that there are more interviews nowadays compared to the past and some people say its the opposite.
also if rfe is issued, does it delay the processing time?
lastly, are mean processing times on USCIS webtimes really accurate?? I saw many people who received GC alot earlier than what is posted on the website…
my FO is santa ana, CA and i heard it’s really hell there where it takes alot longer than other FOs..

My daughter filed for me while I was here in 2020 and had an RFE that time. It took USCIS around 40 days to accept the missing documents (Wanted a joint sponsor). In my filing, I had my Bachelor engineering degree, old TOEFL results and several engineering associations and got my interview waived.

we are asked by our Citizen son and have both interviews scheduled for May 4th and 12th. We also had a RFE in October in regards to our Birth Certificate and had to wait over 4 months until the next step
