RFE signed for according to FedEx. Now we wait (again!)
The request for duplicate evidence (husband’s passport photos!) was signed for by USCIS today, according to FedEx track & trace. Now the USCIS waiting begins again. We were in position 15 according to Lawfully before the RFE, and now back to position 49. Our lawyer is hopeful that once the RFE is processed, we will have a fast answer. Let’s see! 🙈 (note: I kindly welcome unsolicited advice ONLY if your case is also I-130 US citizen AND processing office is Texas, as it only makes sense to compare like-for-like cases.)

hi Kathi! may I please ask you what they meant by passport photos ? our attorney made us sent two passport photos of my USC husband as well with copy of his passport. is there anything else ? 🤔 you should hear good news very soon 😊🙏 our case is also in Texas
Kathi RamseyOct 12, 2021
yes, just passport photos to prove his identity. they must have overlooked them in the original package of evidence, so our attorney fedexed them again! all the best of luck to you!!

are you adjusting status or going through consular processing? I don’t understand why they would be necessary for consular processing if the embassy will ask for them anyway after the I-130 is approved 🤷‍♀️

thats great to hear Kathi Ramsey! Glad to hear your RFE was something super easy:) . I hope you guys get approved soon! We are still waiting to hear anything (dec 14- texas). I thought we would hear by now but nothing yet:(

@Gozde suuuuurely you’ll hear something any day now… give it until the end of Oct and keep fingers crossed!

@sallie Consular processing, so all evidence is provided upfront, which we supplied in Oct 2020. The RFE a was for more copies of hubby’s passport photos, which I presume they had misplaced when opening the physical evidence envelope.

@sallie NVC AND the US embassy in Amsterdam will want my info again, that’s for sure, as I am the beneficiary and not the petitioner

@kathi Ramsey did you submit your hudband’s initial passport photos to USCIS online or by mail? I’m just trying to figure out whether I will get the same RFE since I didn’t follow the exact passport photo guidelines since my husband is overseas and finding a passport photo center in two different countries in the middle of covid was way too difficult. basically our photos were a couple inches bigger than the size requirements and I didn’t write our names on the back since I, just used electronic versions.
Kathi RamseyOct 15, 2021
@sallie we did both, but evidently they still lost the physical photos.

@kathi Ramsey at least you don’t lose your place in line with a rfe. It’s typically pretty fast I’ve noticed for those who submit the sufficient documentation they are looking for in the rfe
