RFIE or RFE- Additional Evidence ??
Guys, When they Request for Medicals is it usually RFIE (initial Evidence) or Additional Evidence ? I received a notification for Additional Evidence. Can't wait to actually get it in hand. But I received EAD last month. So if there was any other potential Query, wouldn't they have asked before ? Any thoughts on the same ??

RFIE in my case was medicals, for additional evidence I’m not sure

it's the same thing ( RFE, RFIE ) "initial" just means a document u forgot to include when filing for the 1st time.

thank you for clarifying. I'm just hoping it would be for medicals. I filed in Feb. and received EAD last month too.... so I'm kind of hoping this is only for medicals....

@Random Query Exactly In the same boat. Can you please share what the RFIE letter stated? Was it for medical?

@ v cek I saw your comment saying that you got scheduled after uscis received your medicals. I thought medical RFE is usually sent when they want to waive your interview?

@v cek so your RFIE was for medicals, right? I am asking it bc my I-485 status changed to Additional Evidence, but my wife’s one (dependent) was changed to Initial Evidence. My I-140 was approved around 8 months ago and medical exam is the only thing missing for us (PD Jan 2019). I am worried they ask another thing that we already sent on initial process and it takes more time to have GC.
