@WF RG it’s Uganda , I get interview letter indicating everything they need and form to submit and how to submit documents but question I still have they didn’t say about medical exams

can I ask what date it changed to “ready” status at nvc?

uscis sent case to nvc September 2021 and case status changes to READY April 2022 and get interview letter for October 2022

that’s so long. I’m sorry! for me USCIS sent the case to nvc September 2022, and it changed to ready October 2022. waiting for interview letter.

@d c thanks for your comment! actually immigration things now is like casino it’s luck some people it works quickly, I can say that I’m luck too because I know someone case still in nvc from 2019 🧐but now it seems like coses are moving fast .

hey I’m in the same country and same v92 like you also my case status is at NVC and changed to ‘ready’ and I got a letter from NVC too buts what’s tricky is they asked for my documents and they were sent to the USA where my petitioner applied for me from ( mother ) and I never got them back so I’m wondering will I find them at the embassy or what?

I think the letter you need is the one that comes from the embassy. the one from the nvc is just a notice. did you get one from the embassy?

Hi @that boy uganda, what the letter from nvc said? is receipt notice? after your status changes to “ready” that means you will get message from embassy regarding your interview, I saw that KMP they sent email with instructions and attached forms, but of course you need keep sending email asking them interview, and it seems like they respect usa congress member if you have one I think it’s good idea to reach out to them and ask if they can help you follow up on interview at embassy. good luck everyone.

@d c oh I have only gotten the one from NVC I assume it’s a ‘reciter notice’ and no I haven’t gotten the one from EMBASSY yet but am I supposed to call them or they’ll contact me themselves? plus they asked for my original documents back then at USCIS stage and til now they haven’t sent them back to me should I be worried?

@ng ng did they ask for your original civil documents for evidence? and didn’t send them back or you got yours back ?

they are supposed to contact you, but it doesn’t hurt to email them and say that you are ready. include your case numbers etc. I had my congressional office contact them. they did reply but only with the information that there are a couple hundred cases ahead of mine. it was a little unclear but they also seemed to indicate that they are planning to add more appointment slots in January. (I am guessing that they are adding staff). so maybe things will move a little faster after that.

what’s your embassy or consulate? uganda too? or another country?

@ d c my worry is they asked for my original civil documents which I sent to the USA where my petitioner applied my case from and they never returned them til now and one of the required documents gir imterview are those civil documents that I don’t have with me…should I be worried or NVC sent them to the embassy and I’ll find them there at the interview

@ that boy uganda I can’t answer that. I don’t know. typically you present civil documents at the interview and don’t mail originals. but if you sent them as a response to what they asked, it could be okay. you might have the petitioner contact a congressperson to request the return of the documents? I can’t give advice. every situation is different.

@ that boy uganda it would probably be a good idea to have the record of the request for original civil documents, and bring that to the interview.

was just about relationship, not too crazy, if you have original documents everything will be okay
