i gave biometrics on June 7. still no updates:(

no idea why but there is no method to the madness.. I searched the community here and online and people are all saying different things..

@eb1a india Hi, yes that has happened to me. My wife got EAD approved on July and Mine was approved on August. She got combo card and mine only EAD and my AP was approved separately in Nov.

My husband and I had biometrics in Jan and got my i765 in 2 months. However, my husband's was approved last week (6 months later). We were told that is normal.

@Raj veer : I assume this was in 2023. hoping I get approved soon as well

@MaB F : some online say that it is normal.. there seems to be no particular pattern they follow while approving the cases

my wife had her i765 approved on July 1st, no progress on mine. Seems like dependants are getting their EADs so that they aren’t blocked from working while the primary isn’t blocked anyways. This is just my personal theory

@eb1a india any fresh update on your EAD? also does your wife AP also approved? if yes is it combo card. just fyi- I just got a notification saying my 765 was approved. but mine still says received.

@Raj veer Can you please clarify - Your wife got EAD approved in july. then how come she got combo card? Does this mean she got EAD and AP approved the same day and combo card?

@Raj veer thank you. my wife EAD just got approved. however AP shows still pending. does this mean they did not approve AP or it will take sometime to reflect.

@S K Yes that will get approve later and will receive a letter with her photo printed. don’t worry it differs based on case to case. I am Primary applicant and I didn’t receive combo card, Infact my Wife’s and My kid’s AP was approved before me.

yes it happened to us as well. my dependent got EAD approval first but a couple of days later I got approval too. followed by AP approval for first the dependent and then primary. all happened within a weeks time we got our combo cards on the mail today. both of us got the cards on same day

@del Kh Did you ever reach out to Emma or call agent regarding EAD and AP petitions for Primary? after Spouse approval.

@S K I did one time but they had no clue. and next day primary got approved.. the receipt notices were also dated a day apart. and the actual cards also have dates a day apart accordingly.

@Raj veer Mine is upgrade from EB2 date. So i just appled on May 8th 2024 for my 485.

@S K My PD is 30th Jan 2022 and submission date 13th April 2023. Mine was straight EB1 application. Not ported.

@Raj veer So your PD is current. its been more than 1 year. I believe congressmen enquiry might help you.

@S K It got current in July. it got retrogressed in Aug 2023 and my case is in CRP since Aug 2023. How to reach out to congressmen? Also won’t USCIS reply stating that it is under normal processing time.

my spouse's 765 changed to 'case approved' last evening

my status remains unchanged.. have asked my attorney but they say if it shows fingerprints received, that means they are reviewing the application

mt 765 changed to "Case Closed Benefit received by other means" and my 485 got approved. my spouse's 485 hasn't changed status
