I lived in the Bahamas before moving to US. I had to send them proof that I did not have permanent residency in the Bahamas which I didn’t because my residency wasn’t permanent I had to renew it every two years and pay like $2000 for work permit

The bigger problem was in the application I filed to get the US non immigrant visa, my parents wrote permanent resident. USCIS asked me to prove that I wasn’t eligible for permanent resident. I wrote them a letter stating that I wasn’t eligible for the following reasons and I sent them the website from Bahamas website. I sent them my i94, my dental medical record, my rent receipt, my marriage certificate, my birth certificate
