travel with Advance Parole my experience
I just came back from Bangladesh using my advance parole. I am sharing this because I want to let people know that if you are clean meaning you never overstayed in United States, you maintained your immigration status before applying for your greencard, you did noting illegal while your in United States then you should not afraid to travel using your advance parole. Don’t listen to people who try to scare you that if you travel using your parole you are risking your AOS case. it’s not like that. I had my interview March 2nd 2020 and my case is still pending review. I just came back to United States using my parole from Bangladesh August 3rd,2021. Before applying for AOS which was employment based my status was F1. I hope this will help someone and give some courage who are afraid to travel using advance parole.

I left school once I got my I-485 receipt from USCIS. You don’t need to maintain your F1 status once you file your adjustment of status it’s all up to you if you want you can also hold your F1 status by maintaining your school.

I overstayed my visa and got arrested for driving without a license. I won’t risk going out of the country for now…

@Mohaned, firstly there is no way you can travel without a passport (internationally) so go renew your passport at your embassy. Secondly, if you have an Asylum case pending (which I guess is mostly you seeking asylum from your country), you would mostly be returned at the port of entry coming back & your case cancelled (because you would have proven your country you are seeking asylum from is now safe for you) hope my explanation is clear enough

Mohamed you can not travel to your country if you have an Asylum case. You could travel to any other country with advance parole but not your country.

Hi @Mohaned I can answer your question however could you please tell me what documents did you send to get AP approved while pending asylum? How many days do you have to leave and come back?

Hey @Kez mann, I hope you are still following this thread. When you came back from BD, did the immigration officer at Dhaka airport check your AP? I am wondering if the BD immigration officers know about AP and don't make a scene at the airport.
