@juliet it’s all subjective. When you request an expedite you just explain to the rep what caused you to have financial hardship. Maybe you lost a job , or you have medical bills, or you depleted savings, whatever it is just explain to them and they’ll make their notes and submit the request. It will then be up to the officer who reviews whether or not your need is great enough to warrant an expedite. Some applicants get asked for proof while others don’t. It’s basically just taking a chance and hoping for the best.

i guess that’s really a hit or miss. Cause financial loss is also subjective..

oh wow I’m so sorry @juliet. I think they’ll definitely make a move on your case it’s been too long. I think they forgot about some of us 😥. I’ve seen so many people who applied in 2021 already get their bios and 2020 applicants are left behind smh

Also guys I have an IOE case number and I was able to see the actual biometric notice in my uscis account the moment they scheduled it. So if you guys sign up for that account and you have the documents tab you’ll be able to see it too

I did it on June 17th and got denied yesterday

case update: I received an email today stating that, my expedite is on hold till I appear for biometrics. hopefully, it triggers the biometrics as desired. I will update y’all if anything happens 🙏🏿

We made an expedite request through Emma on 7/7 and today received a notice for biometrics appointment in the mail. No response about expedite request anywhere though.

what’s your Asc, hopefully you get the biometrics done before they work on it so it gets approved straight away, all the best

update: I requested expedite late evening 06/30 it got accepted in their system 07/01 got an email 07/12, today I decided to call and I was told my biometrics was scheduled July 12, same day they emailed me! I’m to wait a few days for the actual mail so i can boldly conclude that yes! expediting ead triggers biometrics.

when I called I gave them i130 receipt number and it wasn’t scheduled so I told her to check i485 and it was!

they told me my expedite is on hold till I appear for biometrics! I will alert them after the biometrics to unfreeze it

I got my letter today! for august 8.

Had biometrics appointment. Chatted with an agent through Emma a few hours later and they said my expedite request was suspended until completion of bio (like some of you said) and that was supposedly sent to me on 7/26. They said we have to make a new expedite request now, and we’re not allowed to do that until 8/2. I haven’t gotten any emails or updates on my USCIS account about doing biometrics or updates on my expedite request besides that I made one on 7/8

you would receive the letter in your mail in a few days

if you used a lawyer. they would get a copy too so you can make copies of theirs

I-485 and I-765 updated online to show “fingerprints were taken” one day after biometrics. 3 days later I-485 changed to “ready to schedule interview” and my second expedite request for I-765 was “received” today (submitted yesterday) 🤞🏻

thanks Allison, biometrics was smooth and fast today, 10 mins only (Brooklyn Ny). I expedited again same day (today). I was told to give it at least 7 days (business days I guess). keeping fingers crossed 🤞🏿 all the best everyone.

No news yet. I asked for an update via Emma today as it’s been 2 weeks, and they said it is still under review. And interview hasn’t been scheduled yet, but I think that’s dependent on my field office. Any update for you?

Allison don’t use Emma to check, call them I’ve seen someone call and got expedite approval the next day and the other in two day. I feel the agents for online don’t take their time to read and understand your sentiments so they don’t act fast! my last expedite I literally had to repeat everything I’ve said twice cos she was taking care of another person at the same time! I had to give her a minute to read over cos the was asking questions I just answered

so today I decided to call, like the girl said she ended up waiting for close to an hour but that was her best wait ever cos she got approved in 2 days. I called and with calls it’s one on one, you can explain your situation better and all. she listened to every word and asked follow up questions so I know she’s following, she put in a new expedite and I’m hoping the third time would be the charm. it’s was under financial loss but I got called for an interview so plus job interview based on this application! she asked me to get my evidence ready and a deadline to hear back from them.

Allison, finally! today is my day! I woke up to new card being produced. I reached out to my Congress woman, she replied 3 weeks later, she made me sign a privacy waiver which I sent back on Thursday. Monday new card being produced

Oh wow, that’s great!! We are still waiting. I contacted my congressman a few weeks ago and he sent an update from my field office (that there is no update) and said he was waiting to hear back from the NBC. My latest expedite request was assigned to an agent a few days ago, so maybe we will get good news soon 🤞🏻

after new card being produced. case approved, then card mailed to me, then USAA picked it up with tracking

I was able to track with the tracking given. I just got the card in hand, notification update delivered
