USCIS gave my congressman’s office a timeframe of 45 days to complete my case’s review and make a decision. Can i trust they will really make a decision within the next 45 days?

From what i read, it seems like these timeframes are not credible.
I am going for mandamus by the end of the month. I just was thinking should i wait a little more or just sue.

just hang in there! you’ll get a decision soon…
Al JMay 8, 2021
Hi Robbin. Have you been in a similar situation? If yes, can you please let us know if the 45 calendar days is an accurate timeframe or not?
Thanks
Robbin DecareauMay 8, 2021
hey AL J no idea! I contacted my congressperson a few days ago and they assigned me a case worker, but didn’t get back to me yet. I got my biometrics done Monday may 3rd and now my green card is ready to be scheduled for an interview but I have no idea if the 45 days is accurate or not. the senators office might have requested an explanadite in your case and they responded with a 45 day timeline.

Thanks Robbin. I’m trying to stay positive. Wish you the best of luck.

they gave my congressman 30 days on April 7th and it passed no decision on my case. i contacted my Congressman again i will know more by next week. i guess it doesn’t work, i am waiting for 8 months now
Al JMay 10, 2021
Rumeza J thanks for your input. I never heard of anyone who was given a timeframe by USCIS and their case got processed/resolved on time.
Rumeza JMay 10, 2021
@AI yes my congressman sent me a letter with USCIS response about 30 days timeframe
Al JMay 20, 2021
@Rumeza J any news regarding your case? Did you hear from USCIS?
12Alia zeroMay 20, 2021
no just waiting and you
Rumeza JMay 20, 2021
@AI J no i am still pending, I don’t know when will they approve it
Al JMay 20, 2021
Still waiting too @12Alia zero. This is nonsense. I feel that Congress should interviene and control these rogue acts of USCIS. They can’t keep us hanging like this.
Al JMay 20, 2021
Did your congressman reach out to USCIS? What was their response?
12Alia zeroMay 20, 2021
they should’ve,I’m tired of waiting..all they respond to the congressman:my case’s next action is within anticipated next 60 days but with coordination with my field office that’s all they said..37 days pass and still waiting
12Alia zeroMay 20, 2021
and he put his full name under the letter
Rumeza JMay 20, 2021
@Ai J same !!!!! congreeman hasn’t received a response from USCIS on seond inquiry. i gave up on my case smh
12Alia zeroMay 20, 2021
@Rumeza don’t give up 1 you will get approval notice in the mail inchallah!you did all you have to do and wait for them to do their job as they want to..if they need something from you or deny your case they are not going to keep it that long..They did not find issues that why
Rumeza JMay 20, 2021
@Alia yes thanks for good words. i hope we all get our cases processed soon
12Alia zeroMay 20, 2021

Tina MunizDec 27, 2021
hey AI J ! I am in the same situation. what happened to your card ? was your case approved in 45 days
Al JDec 28, 2021
@Tina Muniz I sued USCIS ‘Writ of Mandamus’ and got naturalized last summer. USCIS didn’t respect the 45 days and I had to go to court and they caved and naturalized me.
