my case was received March 15th and it was issued on June 16th

do they actually process your EAD befor approving VAWA??

my VAWA hasn’t been approved yet which is i360 but I’m hopeful. my EAD and GreenCard which is the i765 and i485 got my fingerprints taken for it before I even got my prima facie.

ok, so once VAWA is approved that’s when they approve the I-765 etc? correct

I guess but they can give you EAD before the i765 and i360 once they grant you prima facie

ok I am asking for a friend he got his primaface a couple of months ago. So can he submit the I 765 now or must he submit the I485 also

money is really tight for him right now! that’s why I ask if he can just send the I 765 first? Thanks in advance

if that’s the case the only thing he can send first is the i360 because it’s VAWA if you can’t apply for everything at once. but it’s better he raise the money so he can apply at once because the delay can drive one crazy

thank you @gaff vee, that's exactly 3 months if am not wrong, did your finger print apply to your case or you get a fresh finger print, mine apply to my case from my previous file

which category do you put on the EAD? I’m confused about that part also? he is still married but pending VAWA approval what should he put?

@Jeanette Polanco if your friend has a pending i-485 the ead renewal would be free and he should do it under c9 but if he doesn’t have pending i-485 he can either file i-485 and i-765 or just i-765 with the apporpriate fees which can be searched on fee calculator in uscis website. bit the drawback with just filing i-765 with i-360 already submitted is you won’t get the ead until vawa is approved.

ok so if he submits the I-485 with the I-765 they will approve the EAD before approving the Vawa? that’s what your saying

yes that’s correct by having an i-485 submitted along with i-765 under c9 he will get his ead in about 6 months , even though the i-485 is based on vawa
