VAWA Timeline (so far)
Hi, guys!
I submitted my case on Nov/12/24.
I filed for the Work Permit, Advance Parole and Adjustment of Status along with the VAWA.
I got the receipts for them on Nov/20/2024.
On Dic/03/24 I got two notices, the first one said that the case was going to be moved from Nebraska to the National Benefit Center in order to speed up processing, the second one said that they were using my biometrics from an old case so I wouldn’t have to show do them again.
On Dic/18/24 I got a Prima Facie Determination on the case.
Do you guys have any guesses on how long would the EAD take after I got the Prima Facie and how long does the NBC take to approve cases? I’d appreciate it!
I’ll try to update any changes on my case.

EAD 7-8 months when you filed under. Co9 if u filed under c31 you have to wait until your vawa is approved before you get your EAD

similar timeline and also waiting for my 765. also have prima facie

filed another work permit together with my vawa June 2022. got my prima facie feb 2023. work permit got approved Jan 2025. the wait is quite frustrating but it’s all we got

@M.O W I’m not sure if it’s a C09 or C31. My original case was submitted when I was married, it took years and I didn’t even get a work permit. When they USCIS denied the case, for some reason didn’t take down the original EAD case.
Then I filed for VAWA with a new EAD, got a receipt for it, but USCIS seems to be moving both EAD, that’s why I’m not exactly sure which one they’re taking into consideration.
