Vermont VSC EAC I-751 approved after 19.3 months
Straightforward joint petition, usual evidence, no RFE, no interview. Expected outcome, even if abysmal processing times that kept creeping up every month and half. Filed end of May 2021 when stated processing time was 7.5 months. 19+ months later, we're just getting "New Card Is Being Produced" notification.

Congratulations! Youโve been so helpful to so many people on this platform. Iโm also a Vermont I-751 filer, joint. Did you end up filing for N-400 concurrently?
Bugs ๐ฆ๐บ Burger ๐บ๐ธJan 5, 2023
Thanks! I'm always happy to share from my readings, because I hear accounts of applicants that lose time and money. I'm privileged enough to be able to afford an experienced attorney, who indulges me even on hypothetical questions. I have a pending N-400 but I have yet to hear back on an interview date. Soon after that, I'll lodge I-130 for my parents, so hoping both are done soon.
Cloudy KittenJan 5, 2023
Love your mentality! I didnโt realize I-751 could be adjudicated separately once N-400 was filed (I assumed a combo interview was basically inevitable). Do you mind sharing when you filed for N-400 and your field office?

Congratulations Bugs Burge, you deserve the victory dance
Bugs ๐ฆ๐บ Burger ๐บ๐ธJan 5, 2023
@Cloudy Kitten, think default is a combo interview if you lodge N-400 with a pending I-751, but I've read accounts on visajourney and even on this app, where I-751 is adjudicated before or after the N-400. Quite frankly, was anxious that my I-751 wasn't transferred to NBC or the field office.

@Adaobi Ike, checked case status directly on USCIS -- https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus
sure I'll get an email and text message from USCIS eventually, too. Refreshed my case on this app to see the new status on here.

Thanks, @Hill Top and @J Z. Know many are waiting their turns, and all have valid reasons to be anxious. I need my nats to petition for my parents, so I'm not finished with USCIS just yet.

Thanks, @O B, @Allahu lateef, and @sf fuler! Glad I was able to help in specific areas based on lived experience over the years, in and out of the States, finally settling here, and readings. So, F1/J1 student visas, STEM OPT, H1B, EB5, AoS, RoC, and ongoing Nats and finally IR PR for parents. Quite a journey :)

congratulations Bugs๐ฆ๐บ๐โฆwould you mind emailing me on simons23321@gmail Iโm getting to file my N-400 and hoping to get some clear understanding on the form before I file..Thank you

@Gh233 Gh233, I'm extremely uncomfortable offering one-on-one advice. In a public forum, others can challenge and correct me. I'm not formally trained in immigration and even my readings are out of selfish curiosity, only read what mattered to me, and I was happy to share. There are several pro bono citizenship resources; if you'd like to look 'em up by State https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/apply-for-citizenship/find-help-in-your-community and then pro bono attorneys https://www.justice.gov/eoir/list-pro-bono-legal-service-providers too. There are other privately funded non-profits by State, too, and you can find them here https://www.lawhelp.org/immigration
Apologize, but the resources listed above are qualified and credentialed to answer any application specific questions. I'm only good for policy manual citations, analysis of publicly available data, processing times, etc.

I had my i751 and N400 interview done today. my spouse was with me. we both had the i751 interview done together. I later passed the N400 but I was give a letter stating that I passed the test but a decision cannot be made. the IO said she will have to go through the i751 first. my question now is, is it that the IOS donโt have time to look at the i751 before the interview? how long Again do I have to wait? anyone with a similar experiance?
Hill TopJan 10, 2023
most times they have a supervisor that would go over it and then approve
