waiting time for decision after medical rfe
Dear All, my case was transferred from TSC to NBC on 4/19. I received medical RFE on 5/24 and sent out the response on 5/28 which was received by USCIS on 5/31. my online status has not been updated to date. any ideas on how long it might take to get any decision on my 485? I sent out the medicals to San Antonio field office as per instructions in the RFE. thanks in advance.

Field Offices will not update case stasus. So that’s why you are not seeing RFE Response Received. My case was in Columbus OH and got approved after 1 month of RFE response. Might be different from FO to FO.

I think that’s totally it; each FO might be different - my case got moved to NBC and then the Miami field office (I’m in New York). I got an RFE May 5, responded this last Friday, and received an update that it was received by an officer this afternoon. I don’t think there’s a rhyme or reason to things…which makes all of this more painful.

Im in the exact same situation as you, case transferred to nbc/fo April 26, rfe for medicals on may 12, I responded on may 31- my case is at the hialeah fo in Florida (I’m in California). no updates since!

yes! case transferred to nbc from tsc on April 26, rfe from Hialeah fo on may 12, responded may 31, case approved June 15. (they haven’t produced the card yet)

it never changed to received, it went to ‘case was approved’. still no card produced/sent though

thanks @lili for updating me on this. one last question, what date was mentioned on your rfe notice by which you had to respond? my notice mentioned to respond by June 28th which is about in a month after receiving the notice. I see some noticed saying to respond by 60 to 90 days. TIA

mine was issued on may 12 and they gave me until August 22 to respond seems like yours was very short… also my card was mailed to me today, but no update for card produced or a tracking number received

hey, I sent my medicals in 6/4 and they were delivered on 6/7. did you status never update that the medicals were attached

@I D, nope. my status never updated to indicate that they have received the medicals. it went from rfe sent to new card being produced.

thanks! my case is also at San Antonio FO. The status never updated even when they sent the RFE :( Hope things move soon. My RFE response reached San Antonio on 6/7

@ Joshua Wynn I assume that you are also waiting for Sant Antonio FO? Do you have any updates? My RFE response reached this FO on June 30. It’s a month since that. No updates… :-(
