Report Your Change of Address to USCIS

Report Your Change of Address to USCIS - Lawfully

As a Green Card holder, it is required that you report your change of address to USCIS. It is also important to do so timely during the Green Card application process. Read below and understand detailed regulations for each category of status.

While you have a Green Card granted by the USCIS, it is important to update your registered address with the most current information constantly. This will not only allow for the USCIS to send official notices to the Green Card holder, but it is also important to follow as it as doing so is part of your duties as a Green Card holder. Furthermore, if a Green Card holder fails to update their address properly, it can not only lead to unnecessary delays in the immigration process, but the USCIS may choose to impose fines, criminal charges, or even begin removal proceedings against you.
